Wii wireless + classic for playing Mario Kart?

Just wandering if the Wii classic controller plugged into the wireless is compatable for 2 player gaming for Mario Kart?.

I cant seem to get the wireless to work when the classic is plugged into it yet the classic controler is compatable with the game.

Seems fairly pointless conecting the classic controler to the wireless if you can use both at the same time which is what we wanted.

Er yes, just wandering if both the wireless and classic controller connected to the wireless can be used as a 2 player setup?

I have always been put off playing mario kart wii because of using the wii remote. So if I went and bought a classic controller, I could play it like the SNES or N64 versions?

The classic controller is a model of the SNES 1 from what I can tell. Only it has 4 or 5 buttons on the top (not the front but the top), making it more functional and usefull than the standard wireless controler depending on the games being played. Deffo more suitable for the not needing to stand and swing your arms about games lol.

But by the looks of it you cant use the classic controler connected to the wireless controler to play 2 player Mario Kart as the classic controler seems to take controll of the wireless and making the wireless part pretty un-useable for that game at least.

Unless anyone else can confirm if both CAN be used at the same time?
