Miranda (BBC 2)

Starting on BBC Two on Monday 9 November 2009 at 8:30pm

Miranda is a forthcoming British television series written by and starring comedenne Miranda Hart. It will premier on BBC Two on Monday 9 November 2009.

Hart recorded the pilot episode of Miranda for BBC Two in 2008, which was then developed into a sitcom for radio. Based on her semi-autobiographical writing, the series aired as Miranda Hart's Joke Shop on BBC Radio 2. A television series was later commissioned, and was picked as one of the top 10 forthcoming TV shows for Autumn 2009 by The Sunday Times.

I'm going to give this a go. I remember her in Hyperdrive which was bloody awful but won't hold that against her.

Overdone canned laughter, BBC3 perhaps rather than BBC2.

This is just HOW NOT TO LIVE YOUR LIFE only less risque and with a female lead. It's still as appallingly unfunny, however.

Each to their own but as comedy goes that was dreadful.

It made me chuckle a couple of times. Not brilliant, but then what is?

BTW Where do I know Tom Ellis from?

Finally! Something hilariously funny!!!

Only caught the last ten minutes of this but couldn't stop laughing! I love the bits to camera. It's really refreshing and funny.

Hope someone gives this a bit longer to develop and I hope they can keep it as funny! I'd like to see this last as long as 'My (throw up) Family'

Loved all the waving at the end. Does she have a blog or something?

Only caught the last 10 minutes and didn't think it was that bad. Laughed a couple of times which is more than I did in a whole episode of Hyperdrive. It had a nice old fashioned feel to it and I appreciated the "You Have Been Watching" titles at the end.

I almost gave up in the first ten minutes, but it suddenly seemed to change gear and I ended up enjoying it very much. Quite funny.
Did I detect shades of Frankie Howerd in there, with his style of chatting into the camera?
And no 'film effect'!

PS Anyone notice the Test Card Clown...and the Test card 'noughts and crosses' blackboard?

Just caught the last few minutes and it did make me laugh. Rather bizarre but quite liked it!

Tom Ellis was the dr in Eastenders a while back and is married to Tamzin Outhwaite ( I think! )
