True Blood Season 2 - Spoilers!

So I thought I'd start a thread about season 2 for all you people who just couldn't wait...

Discuss whatever you want... Eric's new hair, Maryanne the crazy b*tch that she is! ... poor Godric, or just gush over Bill...

I love how Eric gets his haircut!

"Is there blood in my hair?"

"Pam's going to kill me!"

LOL

I just love everything about Eric in season 2... when Godric enters, Eric totally changes and it was heartbreaking when he died

I like season 2 but to have the same ending as season 1 was a bit boring for me, the whole "where is bill?" But my god Eric grew on me this season he is damn hot!!

I've seen all of S2 and enjoyed it but it's wasn't quite as brilliant as S1. In particular, I thought the second half of S2 was a bit disorganised.

Best quote of S2: "... like a Muslim Buffy with a dick."

i LOVE season 2. I thought Eric really came into his own in this series. The haircut really helped Poor Poor Godric

For some reason Sookie really annoyed me in this season. I prefered her in the firt season for some reason. For me, i noticed a huge change between the two seasons although no time was supposed to have passed.

For all you Skarsgaard fans out there. Anyone watching Generation Kill on C4 after TB? He's amazingly hot indeed!! And it's actually a pretty damm good show as well, really well written/acted etc.

Yes, I'm watching GK too - he's very good. I wish there was more of his work out there, because I think he's an incredibly versatile actor - for example think of the bits in S2 when Lafayette is imagining he sees Eric as Andy Bellefleur and as Tara's mom - he impersonates them both brilliantly, especially Andy, and mimics their mannerisms brilliantly. I'm sure Alex is going to go on and become as well respected an actor as his father.

Was anyone a bit freaked out about the Maenad storyline? It was good for the first 6 eps and then suddenly there was the big sex orgy and an egg and a meat statue... i just couldnt believe what i was seeing...

I would have preferred it if they had stayed in Dallas for longer. I loved the Dallas episodes

I thought it was really funny when he was impersonating Andy Bellefleur but sinister at the same time if that makes any sense. But you're right he did play those scenes really well.

I'm with you on that one, i thought that it was really creepy how she could make people do whatever she wanted. Again creepy but funny at the same time, - something i think TB excells at

I liked it when they went to Dallas too cos you got to meet all the different vampires and Godric.....really didn't like him at first but I really didn't want him to die...eric's really messed up now

I loved Godric and loathed Lorena. I truly hope she gets her comeuppance in the third series.

Lol me too! I just cant believe they killed him so quickly.

I suppose it was to help Eric's character... I hated him but from the moment Godric came I was like "wow, Eric has feelings!"

Brilliant second series, loved that Michelle Forbes featured so heavily, she really is a god (literally in this case) among cult TV actors.

I actually hated the conclusion of the Dallas storyline; I never really warmed to Godric, hadn't really had time to invest in him before his end, while the whole Eric/Sookie thing left me a bit cold.

Jason Stackhouse continues to be just about the most entertaining character on television at the moment, never known such a likeable idiot!

Looking forward to seeing how they develop Jessica's character in the third season, as she's not in the books, so is a whole new tangent they can go off on!

Eric really came out of his shell in this season. HATE the Eric/Sookie stuff that's creeping in (imo, Eric's a manipulative shit in that regard), but he's a hilarious character and I did like his scenes with Godric. Alex S isn't bad on the eye either.

Jason went from being goddamn annoying in S1 to quite loveable in S2:
"You're worse than Judas!" "Why? What did he do to you?"
"Reckon I've already been to heaven... it was inside your wife!"
And the way people can say what they want about him, but he won't hear a word against his sister.

Don't like the way they vamp Bill up in S2 - the uber-pasty white make-up and dodgy hair cut, not to mention the fact he seems to become more 'boyfriend material' than the edgy vamp we saw in S1. Gah. He's still my favourite, but I didn't like the contrast.

I'm fond of Jessica, although the Hoyt stuff is a bit sappy for my liking.

Wasn't keen on the Maenad storyline. Went a bit OTT with the crazy orgies. However, it did allow Sam to shine a bit more. I wish we could see more S1 Tara as I think the maenad thing ruined her character.

Agree with the above poster... Eric had a whole new dimension to him and season 2 and if he walks in and sweeps Sookie off her feet then I dont think i would mind! haha

I loved the chat between him and Bill in Dallas and Eric says "Are you trying to pick a fight with me?" with a really cocky grin on his face

I want Tara back too! Im glad Eggs is dead - his name was terrible and I cant be bothered with anything that was invovled with the Maenad as it just went from almost believable to totally surreal in the space of about 2 episodes. By the end I was just begging for anyone just to kill her... I would even have been happy if Rene rose from the dead to do it...

Im also loving Jessica I couldnt believe it when I finished the first book last night and Jessica wasnt in it She is a really funny character and I think between her and Bill we will get some comedy...

Sorry to disappoint you but Jessica doesn't appear in any of the books. Plus another popular character (won't say who) gets killed off whereas they don't in the TV series. Eggs appears is in the books.

Keep reading them, they are totally addictive, I couldn't put them down. Luckily I had a month off work after taking voluntary redundancy

Now waiting for Book 10!

Always Team ERIC

Nearly forgot, wait until you read Book 4 'Dead to the World', best book IMO followed by Book 8 'All Together Dead' I've just reread 'Club Dead' and now reading 4 again.

I've been told about that quite a few times... mainly because of a certain person em and another person... and I have to say I am very excited to read it!. I've got the True Blood Omnibus which is the first 3 books in 1 HUGE book and i have book 4 and 5 in the post . I have just found Godric in book 2 at the moment and I hate how they call him Godfrey...

Just finished the first season, loved it and going to watch Season 2.
I notice no-body has really mentioned Sam? Last I saw him he was putting money in a bag because of that women that Tara is with.

I don't mind spoilers

Sam's still there, and has a key role in the main season arc (within Bon Temps anyway).

Don't worry about Sam m8, hes still a main character in S2 and if rumours are true will have a good storyline in s3

I adore True Blood
Eric makes the 2nd season for me, I think the character is just brilliant and Alexander Skarsgard does and excellent job
The last 3 or so episodes did drag a little with the Maryann storyline but all in all I really enjoyed it

I agree but a lot of fans complained about her 'angry sista aint going to take no nonsense from whitey' attitude..So instead (in season 2) tptb softened her up and she was turned into a trollop...
You should read the things fans wrote about the actress on imdb..They even went as far as insulting her athletic physique and calliin her manly/tranny..Which seemed to have had the desired effect because the actress appears much slimmer in season 2

That's awful! I really like Rutina Wesley. I've seen her on a couple of shows and comes across as really funny, nice and down to earth. I look forward to seeing how Tara's character develops in Series 3, because she gets a new love interest in the book 'Club Dead' and that leads on to another story line in book 5, so I hope they'll keep it in.
