Strange Sky+ Issue
I have a Pace box which is about 2 years old now, the only problem i've ever had is was an LNB failure. Tonight however it won't change channels properly. I had noticed since the update that the box was slow to respond at times but now the channel up/down doesn't work, if I press the blue favourites key the banner only flashes on for a split second and doesn't scroll, if i use a number key it again only flashes on for a second and doesn't take the whole channel number.
Although slow, the TV Guide/Box Office etc. buttons work and playback is fine and both inputs are fine but if I select a channel from the TV Guide the banner comes up flashing and 'further schedule information is not available' with no channel details, just the date and time (which is correct). Has anyone any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks for your help. |

Where you by any chance recording something at the time? This is typical of a fault I suffer occasionally (about once a year) where the box gets confused into thinking that it's already recording something else.
If it is the same thing you'd find that cancelling your recording would allow you to change channels normally, but as soon as you start it (or another recording) again you get the same fault. Once my box gets into this situation only cure I've found is to power off fully and leave it unplugged overnight - next day it's back to normal. |

Thanks for the advice it seems to have sorted itself out again.
I've put it down to one of those 'glitches' sky+ box owners just love
