Slow Responsive Remote Control - Sky+ HD

I found today that the remote control has become very sluggish. I have two reomote controls and both are effected. So the conclusion is that it is the box (Thomson 3 years old 1TB HDD). Also when I am in the TV Guide page and press the green button for the planner it goes to the favourites instead.

Has anyone any ideas/solutions to this problem?

I had the same problem myself last week and then my box crashed.When i powered it down and restarted the remote started to react a lot faster,So i suggest turning the power off,wait for a couple of minutes and boot it back up and see if that sorts it.

Thanks, had to do a software upgrade in the end. All fine now.

Rebooting the box normally sorts out all unresponsive, sluggish remotes.

Have rebooted the box several times, including software updates. Got in this morning to find that two recordings failed last night with technical fault 12 (haven't seen that for ages!).

The remote is painfully slow. Pressing TV Guide then Green brings up Favourites. Almost impossible to get to the Planner. Even tried pressing Play from main screen. This takes me to the last viewed programme but on pressing backup or green it still takes me to Favourites. EPG HD +8.3.2.

Is it time to check the PSU or call Sky to swap box. I wouldn't care if I got a Samsung to replace it. The Samsung in the bedroom is behaving perfectly.
