He disappears for months on end, then every so often, like last night, he turns up and nobody bats an eyelid...

He lives with Audrey doesn't he? They can't be expected to write every character into every scene. He's just not involved a lot atm with storylines.

I always thought he lived with Audrey because he had a key to her house and was making himself at home there on his own when Gary Windass came to rob the place.

I don't think he lives with Audrey full time - I thought he was just house sitting that time Gary Windass broke in.

And fair enough not involving every character in every storyline, but not to the extent you actually forget about his existence...!

Maybe he's house sitting again as Audrey seems to be away visiting Sarah again (I don't remember that being explained either). I didn't think he lived there full time, I thought they'd had some sort of fall out although I might have remembered that incorrectly.

Even so, you'd think if he was coming up from London people would make the odd "How's London?" comment.

I dont think he lives with Audrey, surely a man like him would have his own home, somewhere. I always thought it daft the way he just turned up after 50 years and suddenly Gail and him were so close as if he,d been there all her life.

Maybe he's got a job guarding all the cars belonging to the coronation st residents, which are never actually parked on the st.

Yeah he lived in London and came for visits then later m,oved in to Audery to be close by.

I guess some people just click. I remember the scenes where he met Gail (and Tina was there) which were hilarious.
