Academy of Champions - Wii

Anyone here played this or bought it? Spotted it on another forum, and it's about a tenner now so thought I'd give it a go. I generally like the more fun footie games like Sega Soccer Slam, but didn't bother with Mario Strikers as I thought it looked a bit too much like hockey in-game. This game looks better to me. The pitch is larger, and there seems to be a more footie feel about it than the Mario game.

Lots of harsh opinion can be found generally on the net, but I take that with a pinch of salt as there's a lot of Wii opinion I disagree with, and it looks pretty good in the various clips I've seen. I'd like to hear from you lot if you've played it though. Thanks all.

OK, posting this up in case anyone's interested.

Got this today, and have spent some time with it, both solo and 2 player with the youngest. Have to say, I'm really enjoying it.

As I mentioned above, I'm up for the cartoon football games, even though I'm a bit of a PES nut mainly. So far, though it's early days yet, we're finding this terrific fun and I'm really glad I got it. It's not gonna be for everyone. It's not PES, that's for sure, though I would hazard it's probably better than this years FIFA effort on Wii. More cynical gamers will dismiss it, but the truth is it's simple fun and well done. I'd recommend it on the cheap for sure, especially with Christmas coming up.

We were shouting at the screen playing this, which to me is a sure sign of a two player hit in our house! More to follow if anyone cares.
