I've had my Beko fridge freezer for 2 years now - never a problem with it. I also have a Beko stand alone freezer and that's the same; two years old, no problems.

You do realise, you've just made me put a hex on them now

Beko are a great make, we got a fridge and a freezer over 10 years ago in fact it could be closer to 15 and they both just conked out this year. So we have went and got Beko's again.

Hello katherine,

I have an account with them and use them some times to fit out our properties.

I've got some 10 year old BeKo products, still going strong.

Not a great build, better products around IMO but OK IMO, purchase an external, extended service guarantee, not a warranty and the brand should serve you well enough.

PS, Some of their washing machines are a bit iffy but easy enough to repair.

They are an awful make, 3 of my friends did warranty work for them (refrigeration) and didnt have 1 good word to say about them.

They are average for their price bracket though, there are worse makes you could purchase.

My mum had one, and it kept switching off every time the weather got cold! To be fair, she doesn't have central heating & her kitchen is very cold so it might've happened with another brand. She also said her Beko was very noisy.
She has a different fridge/freezer now though (can't remember which make) and that one has been fine so far!

Depends what you are buying and what your price brackets are, as you will know prices just go up and up and up, I have worked on a £55k "domestic"range cooker and know for a fact its not the most expensive you can get.

Had a Beko freezer for years and it's been fine. Actually wishing it would break down soon so it gives me an excuse to buy one of them that doesn't need manually defrosting, that is the only pain with it having to do that once or twice a year.

Have just retired one, as we have gone from a fridge-freezer, to separate standalone tall larder fridge and freezer.

Had it about 8 or 9 yrs, and it was still working.
Fairly basic, but did the job with no fuss, and can't fault it's reliability.

Hi Jimmy,

Even most frost free fridges need defrosting, in other words you should turn them off once or twice a year.

But for the money, Beko is OK.

I've been in my rented flat for 6 years, and had the same beko fridge freezer the whole time with absolutely no problems. I've no idea how long it'd been there before me, and I don't thiink the previous tenants were very kind to it but it's still going strong!

Oh, I lie - we found it sitting in a puddle a couple of months ago but that turned out to be because some eejit has removed the drip tray underneath at some point and replaced it with one that doesn't fit and had fallen over. Easily sorted

I have a 2yr old large American style Beko, bought it second hand of the Bay in June.

No probs as yet touch wood, although it is a bit noisier than my previous one which I can live with.

(well I've lived with the wife for 20 odd years and she's even noisier)

We've got a Beko fridge freezer. It's nothing special, but it hasn't given us any problems in the 10 years that we've had it. Funny enough, we're considering getting a new fridge freezer to go in our newly refitted kitchen. I would consider them again.

Edit: Having just spoken to my wife, she said that it needs frequent defrosting, which is a pain.

Hi Chimp,

If I was purchasing a £350-£450 FF/FF or a washing machine, what brand?

I use to like the Stoves brand for my gas cookers, utter dire crap now, have been for a long time, are there any decent makes of GCs on the market now a days?

I've got several Beko appliances that have been going well for a long time. I tend to go for them over other brands now because they all seem to last much longer.
The only thing I had an issue with was a Beko washing machine - but I seem to get through them quite fast so it was probably my fault rather than the appliance!

Beko gets another positive from me, ff been going for 10 plus years now, although I did retire it to the garage earlier this year - I wanted a white one in the kitchen but it's still going strong.
