I liked her version of Run but something not right about this.

It's so far my favourite ballad on the album! I love it.

I thought Leona's version of 'Run' was epic. I think they tried to do the same this time with the Oasis track. But I agree with the above poster, for some reason it doesn't work as well. It is missing something.

its not supposed to be a ballard, esp. a leona ballard at that. She sucks ALL the emotion out and all the drums & instruments drowns the whole song

and I say that as someone with over 40 years experience in this industry terrible

I quite like Oasis songs when they're sung by anyone who isn't Oasis so this works for me Also loved Rachel A's version, difficult to compare the two since they're obviously in a different context.

I love the song.

Jamie Archer's, Leona's, Rachel Adedeji's and Oasis' are all fantastic.

I think with Run Leona first performed it almost off her own back on Radio 1's live lounge and it was great, I don't think they messed around with it too much when it went on record. The Oasis cover just sounds like the typical X Factor winners song nonsense, there's even a choir in it ffs.

I loved her cover of Run but not sure about this, I don't like the echoey effect or the over processed feel of it. She sings it well though.
Does it need a choir though? It's better when its just sung simply.
Rachel A's and Oasis's versions are superb.

Run worked, this doesn't. I kinda agree about the 'Oasis sung by other people' thing as I'm not a fan of Liam Gallagher's voice, but this falls really flat. Doubt it'll be a single.

I've been really waiting to hear her version of this. I agree that it sounds a bit too processed. I think if she sings it live somewhere, it'll sound much better. Still like it though.

Ruined I love the original version of this song, and I loved the original version of Run also. I still stick by 'Don't fix what isn't broken'.

Can see how she'll perform it also, standing still, in a huge sparkly dress, with special effects on the screen behind her, as all her performances seem to have.

I havent heard it yet. I downloaded the album last night. Have burnt it onto a CD and will be listening to it shortly.

If it has a choir in it and big vocals at the end like Run I dont think I will like it.

Mneme I thought you liked Leona??? I thought she was a fans singer???

I'm wondering if the sound quality on the youtube clip is a bit off, it has too much echo to be the finished high quality version.

Simon's trying to pull a "Run", he does seem to think great moments can just be manufactured.

I'm sure Noel Gallagher won't mind the pennies that roll into his account for this.

I wonder if they considered this for the winner's single? Lucie probably would have done a decent version. Er, or whoever wins...

Not heard it but I know it'll be an excellent cover with flawless vocals. But NO WAY should it have been on the album - a wasted spot - which could've gone to Perfect Stranger/Can't fight it or something better. Her company are making some bizzare decisions which I really cannot understand.

A valiant attempt from Leona & the label. You know even before you hear the track that the vocals & production are going to be faultless, but I still prefer the original by Oasis.

'Run' was a touch better than the original by Snow Patrol, so you can't blame the label for trying to re-capture another cover classic in this album.

Still think "Outta my head" is the best track on that album.
