Itunes question
Hey
I have itunes on my computer which I've used alot but I've actually just downloaded it on to my laptop. When I connected my ipod to the laptop, it came up saying that the ipod can only be connected to to one itunes would I like to erase and sync or would I like to transfer purchases. Doesn't say anything about the songs that I put on myself through cd, just about the purchases. What's the best thing to do? I dont want to lose any songs. Thanks in advance. |

Unfortunately, I think you'll need to import all your CD's onto your laptop again.
By transferring your purchases, it'll move all your bought tracks from iTunes and copy them onto your laptop. Erasing and syncing will do just that. It will erase all songs on your iPod even your bought ones (particularly bad if you haven't backed them up on a CD) So I think you're best off transferring so you don't lose the bought songs and then importing again. Time consuming I know. Unless someone else has a better more technical way... |

Thanks guys.
Might just keep using the computer instead of the laptop for itunes, saves alot of hassle by the sound of it. |

Strange...I can use my iPod on the iTunes on both my laptop and the PC without any problems.
Although I do have a wireless router in my house, so perhaps it because I've set iTunes on both computers to 'Shared Libraries' (or something very similar)? |

Yea I thought it was strange too as my little sis has used the itunes on my comp when she's been staying without any problems.
I asked her, she said its maybe because I have my ipod set to sync automatically, therefore when I connect it to the itunes on the laptop its trying to sync with an empty library. |
