Plus, no way should he have sang with his hand in his pocket like that at the beginning. He looked like he could have been stood at a bar or something singing it, and it lends to the impression that he doesn't have to try too hard as he thinks he is so good. Bad move there.

In truth Ruth wasnt a great vocalist...

I think what she did very well was connect with the public

She fought every time she performed

She had personality and character

So in terms of pure vocal, Danyl is far superior and sang Purple rain better

However Danyl is just not endearing himself to the british public. He still has a bit of time, but i dont think he'll achieve it
