sky hd and non sky hd tele

will this work as have ordered it as a friend has sky hd but through a normal tele through a scart lead will all the channels work but like not be as good a quality as it would have been through a hd tele

It will, but why are you paying £10 a month extra for a service you won't get any benifit from?

i prob will get an hd tele after christmas but
only really upgrading because got the box for
15 quid and means will put my existing sky plus
in sons room as he doesnt have any where as
my daughter has plus i think the hd has a bigger
hard drive

updated to add that i went out and bought an hd ready tele from comet ahead of my sky hd install tomorrow, just went for a cheap 32 inch goodmans one was 299
