Given the quality of the episodes this series, you're probably right. Maybe Sunday tea-time? It's definatley worth more than the weekday kids slot.

Sunday around 6pm would be ideal for the show, particularly with this season being so strong. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the wedding episodes repeated next Sunday afternoon; that's what iId do if I was a BBC scheduler but they're a pretty clueless bunch so I suppose it won't happen.

Put the whole series on as double bills (i.e. omnibuses) over Christmas. Probably get better ratings than the same old daytime shows (Murder She Wrote for example) and films.

The BBC used to show family-friendly stuff at Sunday teatimes. Used to. It wouldn't hurt them to give SJA a BBC1 repeat.

*sigh* *remembers watching Anne of Green Gables; Heidi; Five Children and It and a spooky detective story starring David Jason's older brother, that taught me how to dial a telephone number by pressing on the two buttons on the 'phone rest " ('cos my mum used to put a lock on the 'phone dial to stop me making "silly 'phone calls" ) and it worked!!

huzzahhhhh! I could sneak into the hall and make those calls and she never knew about them or why the 'phone bill never seemed any lower every quarter!

not so long ago, I forced the Weedlettes sit and watch Stig of the Dump for cultural, educational and literary reasons .......... they *really* enjoyed it ..........

Remember the Sunday Classics? Barry Letts and Terrance Dicks weaved their magic again ...

A brilliant version of the Anne Frank story, with Katharine Schlesinger as Anne. Oliver Twist, with Nancy's murder scaring me to death. I have long remembered The Franchise Affair, and recently read the book, inspired by childhood memories ...

Ah, TV was better then.
