Festival of Remembrance PQ

I have to say that, in my opinion, the PQ on my Bush HD seemed way above what it has been of late.
Also the compilation of the programme itself was one of the best I have watched.

It looked very good, but on our Grundig HD box there was a brief picture freeze every minute or two. I've never had this happen before. Anyone else?

I thought the programme content was *excellent*, most enjoyable, with that bright red dress Hayley wore in the Vera Lynn tribute the visual highlight on my plasma. Great performances too - I loved the twist when they merged footage and audio of the younger Vera singing.

Bright parts of the scene were fine but there are a lot of darker areas at RAH concerts and there, picture quality left a lot to be desired on close examination, with lots of smearing and other odd artifacts. Shadow areas even on the brightly lit performers suffered a bit, too.

But I don't know how much of the low-light problem is caused by the bitrate/encoder combination, perhaps it would have been similar at a higher bitrate (if for example HD camera low-light sensitivity is an issue). I'll leave others who know more about the technical aspects to comment on that.

Otherwise, there were no picture or sound glitches here (Pace, also PC card and DVB Viewer).
