Bottom Two Predictions for this week?

My prediction:

Lloyd and (sadly) Stacey (I don't think the public will like what they did to her).

And hopefully Lloyd will go.

(I'd prefer if Jedward were in the bottom two, but think they will live to fight yet another week.)

I agree totally.. Jamie could be there too as he is now getting praise from Louis and the oldest in the competition

but my first thoughts where Lloyd and Stacey .. Lloyd will go! and I am fine with that Cheryl did that boy no favours as he "wasn't ready".. My son is 16 (almost 17) and has auditioned 3 times for this (they lowered the age) and for BGT I tell him he is not ready! but alas he is still off to audition again a week on Monday for BGT!! he wants to do it AGAIN!! one day he will be "ready" Lloyd is not.. Cheryl should have done that boy a favour and put Daniel Fox through! and me a favour because I really wanted to hear more from Daniel!!

I thought the standard of tonight's performances proved that last year's batch were far better than this year's... However, here is my ranking for the night...

1. Stacey - It wasn't as brilliant as her cover of Coldplay's The Scientist (which I think remains as her best performance so far) but I have to credit Stacey so much for stepping out of her comfort zone... for trying to prove herself as a versatile artist and at the same time for the personality that only Stacey can have and nobody else (like Rachel or Lucie) can ever copy.

2. Danyl - I dont usually like Danyl for simple reason; he's too cocky. But I think his performance tonight was great and it wasnt as cocky as his weeks 1 & 2 and not as lame as week 4. His vocals were good too.

3. John & Edward - It wasn't certainly the best of the night but the entertainment value, again, is these kids' power and advantage over the other contenders. As Simon said, it wasnt as bad as the other weeks.

4. Olly - We've established he is a good performer but I think Simon needs to give him big ballads as he is becoming predictable week by week and if he gonna stick to that, there's no way he can win the show.

5. Joe - For the first time, I am afraid for Joe. He nailed the high notes but I thought it was a lame performance and does not show the best he can give.

6. Jamie - It wasn't as brilliant as his rendition of Hurt. He isn't comfortable with his performance and I can see him possibly landing in bottom 2 tomorrow.

7. Lucie - Song choice was awful and I think Danni stick Lucie in this kind of genre and sad to say, Lucie's voice is very annoying and not as sweet an brilliant as the established popstars of her age.

8. Lloyd - What more can I say... It's time to go Mr. Lloyd!

rowdykit, that's a pretty astute analysis of the acts IMO!

Joe and Jamie.

Lloyd may just escape it this week out of sympathy.

If Lloyd is not in the bottom two after that dismal performance then something is very seriously amiss with the world. It is impossible that Stacey will be in danger: I simply will not allow it. That leaves us with Jamie probably joining Lloyd, I think. Or -- my outside bet -- Joe. I haven't seen him mentioned too much as at risk, but of all the performances I enjoyed his the least, after Lloyd. I thought the song choice was particularly dreary.

Joe, Lucie and Olly - safe.

John & Edward, Danyl, Stacey and Jamie will be a close call but Lloyd is certain to be there... isn't he?

Danyl ... if theres any justice he will be in the bottom 2.
Jamie or Olly could be up after Jamies awful vocals and Ollys granddad shuffling.
Lloyd fans might rally around to save him but does he have enough fans.
Jedward could be at risk ... that was my least fav of their performances, too childish.

Safe bets are Lucie and Joe ... only 2 to sing in tune this week. And every other week come to think of it.
Stacey fans might forgive her one bad week but she needs to be great next week.

They need to allow her to be great. That's my problem. She IS great but they're not letting her be.

I agree. Stacey is not a moving kind of girl and definitely not 'sexy'. Whats wrong with singing ballads most weeks. Olly has sung the same type of uptempo song since week 1 and thats ok. Danyl always sings the sames type of songs. Dannii should ignore Simons criticisms. He just wants Dannii to ruin a perfectly good act and change her. Therefore sabotaging her chance of winning.

I think Lloyd will be in the bottom 2 but not sure about the rest. Although we already know that Jedward will get through.

With the Twins ring-fenced - I reckon it'll be Lloyd and Stacey, also.

What I think is interesting is the *huge* variations in people's reactions to last night's show. I think this goes to show how very average the standard is this year. They are all of a similar ilk - we can choose favourites, but there's no consensus because it's all down to personal preference rather than one of the acts being head and shoulders above the others. And this year, more than any other, we're seeing votes based far less on performance and far more on personality and likes/dislikes. When people talk about Danyl, it's to discuss how cocky he is; Stacey - it's all about her personality and not her singing; Olly - his likeable persona again, rather than the singing.

There's always an *element* of this of course, but this year it's far more noticeable, and I'm convinced that's because the standard is generally quite mediocre this year, and the live shows are quite bland and underwhelming. When there's no obviously great voices or performances, we're having to fall back on other factors to make a decision on who we like/don't like.

Me too.

I'd rather Olly and Danyl though.

I suspect Jamie and Stacey, I think the Jamie fans will have ensured he won't be in the bottom two - sadly.

Lloyd seems an almost definate for the bottom two.

And I think only John and Edward would be eliminated instead of him...

I have absolutely no clue.

Based on singing alone it SHOULD be Lloyd and J&E.

But thats not all to take into account as everyone knows.

Could be any of them. I am quite relaxed about it, because I think they will all get a chance now once the comp is over.

Personally, I will support Danyl until he is gone. I hope he can win but am also realistic. I think Lucie is coming along, and Joe has always been good. Jamie would be a different and nice winner to have, Olly is in with a good chance. Stacey seems to have become a bit stagnant, but is still in with a shot. I don't think it will be Lloyd, but it may even be J & E who takes the crown.

So as for bottom 2, I think I will just wait and see.
