SCD Alan Dedicoat

Just wondering how Alan managed to be in Blackpool to do the SCD voice-overs and immediately afterwards he was back in London for the lottery draw when both shows are supposed to be live

Because, as he does not need to appear on screen, he did one (or both) via a radio link from a separate studio (probably the Lottery Draw)?

I think the SCD voice-overs are pre-recorded.

They are standard announcements which are the same every week, such as "will X & his/her partner Y please take to the floor" and " the judges scores are in".

Is it not obvious from the sound quality that the SCD voice-over introductions are recorded?

As far as I know they've always been pre-recorded as he also does the voice-overs for Dancing with the Stars in the US

I wonder if he claims expenses for travelling to LA every week

In what way, other than sounding the same each week?
