New Installation Query

Hi
Well, I've arrived here after defecting from the Freesat Forum and the nice man is currently putting a new dish up, all new wiring etc (I thought the old stuff would have worked but hey!) So that's a bonus.

He's also given me a Pace TDS850NB so question is, is the box any good or should I be asking him swap it before he leaves?

Any replies gratefully accepted and I'll see you all back here when the job is finished.

S

Edit: I realise there are loads of threads on which box is best etc and most of them seem to say Pace but some are old threads so any up to date info would be nice. TA

sounds like you have a good engineer there - putting a new dish and cable in - there are alot of engineers who would have used the old equipment and not bothered

sky have released new rev 4 dishes and want everyone to have them eventually.

i always change the dish and cable so i know then everything is tickety boo and the only way the system will fail is the box.

Pace is alot more reliable than a year ago

Enjoy your HD

Pace were never any problem, the Sky recall seemed to be for no good reason. We've sold loads of Pace HD boxes, never had any problems.

Thanks guys,

The nice man even drilled a spare hole through the back bedroom wall for a single feed for me too!

Box seems very nippy and responsive as compared to the Hummy HD PVR it's replaced.

One happy punter!

You're lucky - my sky fitter is fitting us up right now - " No mate, you don't need a new dish - cabling & dish is exactly the same as sky plus.."

So no new parts for us..!
