Carpet Beetles

Need any advise I can get. !

Anyone had carpet beetles in their home? We have them and have hoovered up any and all I can find today. Creepy crawly hell!

Wondering if anyone had and good tips to stop them coming back...

My local hardware store has moth balls for carpet moth/beetles.

I would think you would need to treat the carpet with something as I think they lay eggs?

My friend had them and had to get a chap in to set off some sort of chemical smoke bomb thingy - only took a morning or so I think and I don't think it cost a great deal.

We had them quite badly, we ended up having to move all the furniture out of each room, hoovering the carpets with one of those water based hoovers, then waiting for them to dry and moving the furniture back. Wetting the carpets helps because the beetles lay eggs.

hoovering them up won't kill them . They will climb back out again.
