Week 5 - Shock/Controversial elimination week!

In the history of The X Factor there have been two eliminations that resulted in a large controversy. These were Laura and Maria. Both happened in Week 5.

Is week 5 cursed? It's week 5 tonight.... shocker again tonight?

Probably, but it would be an easy shocker this year. Anyone who goes who is not John and Edward are a shock every week.

I stopped worrying after my push in votes to get Danyl through because I thought he deserved another chance.

Now, although I still vote, I say, let the chips fall where they may.

Maybe......

I still think a miracle is needed to stop Lloyd being in the bottom 2 and leaving.

A shock would be anyone but Lloyd to be honest

Even John and Edward now, people expect them to be safe

I think it's going to be Lloyd and Lucie in the Bottom 2.

Or Lloyd and Stacey.

Or Joe and Lucie. Something like that.

I remember this place going into meltdown last year after Laura went and Vickers was given a bye to the next week due to sore throat-gate

Agreed, I'd say pretty much anyone who isn't Olly or Joe could be in the bottom 2.

Now I've said that I bet Olly and Joe will be the bottom 2

It's weird cos i was thinking about that earlier.

I reckon either Stacey, Lucie or Jamie will go - if there is a shock again. It seems to always be females but it will get ridiculous if there will be only one female act left in the competition after tonight.

Hopefully Danyl will go. I very much doubt it though.

Please don't forget Cassie, Nikitta and Alisha all went in week five too - more chance of it being someone who isn't good enough, than someone with winning potential.

It's also worth noting that week five has seen a female leave every year. Maybe Lucie and/or Stacey could be in trouble...

Casie, Maria, Nikitta, Alisha and Laura all eliminated in week 5.

Looks like it's a girls week then Maybe Stacey, I hope Lucie stays.

If it's going to be a shock exit tonight I hope it's Olly. Unfortunately, it's more likely to be Jamie.

If it is going to be a shock result then what you expect to happen won't happen.
I expect it to be Stacey and Jamie.

The difference compared to last year is that there is no real acts that everyone can see in the final. For example last year I doubt anyone actually seriously thought Alexandra, Laura, Eoghan, Diana or JLS were ever going to be in trouble at this point. There was still alot of fodder last year who everyone expected to be bottom two (mainly the Over 25's).

This year there's no fodder. Rachel was the only fodder this year, imo, and she's gone now.

I would've said Ricky and Kandy Rain were fodder as well... but I know what you mean.

Jamie and Danyl in the bottom two with Danyl going home!

I don't know about a shock, but it would be a dream!

I don't actually think anyone being in the bottom 2 would be a shock this year as there doesn't appear to be a stand out act who we all know will be in the final 3.

Obviously, Lloyd or J&E should go this week but, apart from them, it could be anyone.

Olly and Danyl would be AMAZING. With Danyl going home would be a dream.

However the odds of that happening are probably unlikely.

I can see Jamie, Lloyd, and possibly Joe and Stacey as much as I HATE to say that.

Joe and Stacey are the best but I just sense they're a little vulnerable this week.

I wasn't shocked the week Laura was in the bottom 2 she had a bad peformance and Simon slated her that night, he did something similar to Stacie yesterday however Laura was the bookies fav when she went so in that case bon voyage Olly but probably won't be him who goes

It should be in my opinion Lloyd and John and Edward if we are going on talent to sing, but as this show seems to be anything but I expect on of these acts (unless they are bottom) to actually be called FIRST as safe.

If it is to be a shock then Stacy v Lucie I think.. that would be a total shock to me anyway.

Danyl being bottom two will not be a shock not after the shock of it happening two weeks ago, as that was when I thought he will not win this.
