Billy Turnbull needs to talk about Strictly more...

...don't you think?

I watch Breakfast, and I totally think he needs to mention Strictly Come Dancing more. He hardly mentions it

He should definitely remind viewers he was a past SCD contestant. You would hardly know

He should also mention his gammy foot that he got while on SCD...

That shitty show was featured on 4 out of 5 editions of Breakfast last week. Not that BF is much of a programme to start out with but it’s just a storefront for BBC output these days and this mystifyingly popular dancing crap in particular.

Breakfast is a non stop plug for Strictly Come Dancing

Hardly a whiff of X Factor!

Bill Turnbull was on SCD?? Blimey, he kept that one quiet!!

Goodness knows why he's still bragging about it four years on - he was no good anyway, with his 'jazz hands' and comedy facial expressions.

He's just like Alan Partridge and he doesn't even realise it. Think's he's genuinely witty and attractive to housewives. He's not.

Just out of interest, exactly (okay, roughly) how much of the show was taken up with features (not just comments) about SCD? Also, how many of them were before/after 8:30am when BBC News goes back to the rolling-news format and BBC1 does the more light-hearted/showbiz-y section of the show?

5-10 minute segments as far as I recall (not to mention the constant references from Hollins who’s in it). When they’re cheek by jowl with other items of much greater import and interest it just looks all the more ridiculous that they lavish so much time/advertising on this embarassing, abysmal programme. The Restaurant, another BBC show, got one plug the week before it started and since then nothing as far as I’m aware. Seems they can’t spare the time to promote one of the best shows they have (and hardly an elitist, niche one either so that excuse wouldn’t wash) as presumably they prefer to relentlessly plug bloody Strictly.

Well, every time I put GMTV on they are talking about the twins. Honestly every single time. So it balances out.

The SCD referencing and plugging continues!

I wish Bill would just shut up about it!

Even Karen Hardy is starting to do my head in!

The constant reference to Hollins (Average) is also v annoying

Every Monday and Friday its particularly bad, to the point where I just switch the bloody thing off!

I wouldn't mind if each SCD plug was followed by an X Factor item etc, but its so SCD focused its just embarrassing

Breakfast is supposed to impatially cover the news. There was no mention/features of the twins on Breakfast after 08:30 despite the story being plastered everywhere!

X FACTOR
ADVERTS
I,M A CELEBRIY
ADVERTS
X FACTOR
ADVERTS
I,M A CELEBRITY
ADVERTS.....................

all the way to 925 in the morning, the BBC seems more enticing!!, anyway Karen Hardy is gorgeous

So Billy Turnbull is on holiday again, so no Strictly plugging until 8.30 this morning!

I always cringe before Billy links to Hollins on a Monday morning as I just expect a strictly fest...but Charlie didn't mention it!

I'm a little confused as to why there was NO mention of jedward all morning...

Another 15 minutes plugging Strictly and Hollins this morning.

I'm baffled as to why they have Hollins back on his own show, as he constantly whitters on about Strictly with Turnbull every ten seconds!

Yes, so what? If you don't like it, don't watch it. Serious stuff before 8:30am; not-so serious stuff after. Even I know that and I never watch the show!
