sky planner wont show
ive just come home from being away a couple of days and noticed my planner wont come up- it just says wait-also when i go to record something it says plus recovery failed not working please call-then the cs number
anyone else had this and is there a way i can fix it without losing anything ive got about a months worth of recordings on there ive also got a funny beeping noise every few minutes also just to add the anytime red button doesnt work either |

I've done a fsr which didn't work so I phoned sky who went through it all and told me I need a call out which I just can't afford. Is there anyway round this

Probably obvious, but it sounds like a hard disk problem. If you've done a FSR and it still doesn't come up then you probably need a new hard disk. If you've done a FSR you will have lost all your recordings anyway.
Do you know what model of box you have? (See here) If you don't think you can fit a new hard disk, best to phone Sky and tell them you want to cancel because your box isn't working and you can't afford to replace it (speak to Cancellations Department). They usually give you a free call out (and replacement). |

hi shoog
thanks for your advice-i did call but they just put through my cancellation so im going to have to cancel that and book an engineer not alot i can do its still making a funny noise and beeping and looks like i need a new one now |

i got a new box well recon unfortunatly its an amstrad it was working fine till tonight when i went to record something on sky one and it just wont do it
it says record next to the programme on the banner but on the planner nothing anyone had that happen to them also the red light on the front isnt on |
