The X Factor ended tonight.

That's it. This show is only about making headlines, Simon Cowell is a hypocrite. It's all Pantomine and nothing about singing at all. Watch the ratings fall from here. Can't help but feel tonight was the beginning of the end for XF. We need an American Idol style show to replace this..

LOL. its the X-Factor! its ALWAYS been staged panto rubbish. Had John and Edward gone, raitings would have fallen. they will continue to rise now, trust me. Its all about publicity with this show...and this will be EVERYWHERE tomorrow. its never been about singing...if it was, lloyd would be gone..oh and leon jackson would never have won.

Its the biggest load of Shit on the telly aimed at teenagers and schoolkids if it has to be on the telly put it on a Saturday morning reminds me of an old telly show called the "Gong Show! full of people who thought they had talent!

The X Factor is a Karaoke show !

Goodbye X-Factor

Yeah, I know it's all about manipulation, votes, blah, blah, but personally I'm sick and tired of being taken for a c**t by Mr Smug and his cohorts.

I vowed to stop watching Strictly once they replaced someone who actually knew about dancing with the dimwit Aleesha, and now I'm never going to watch this shit again.

Byeeeee!

I'm out too. As far as I'm concerned the show isn't on TV. Bye-bye Simon, I'm one of many viewers you lost this evening. Good job, Sir.

Simon Cowell basically confirmed tonight that he thinks the general public are idiots.

This is no longer a talent show its a show which at it's core is designed to manipulate and fleece the general public.

I would describe this show and Simon Cowell as being worse than a pimp as he is messing with young peoples dreams and treating the general public like fools in order to further escalate his own wealth.

I hope people stand up to this crap and not take it up the ass like Simon Cowell thinks they will.

MASSIVE FAIL

Yes - it ended at 20.55.

Get over yourself - it will probably have more viewers next week with Jedward than with Lucie.

I agree, the singers are so hardworking on AI, and everything about it seems so much more serious. The X Factor has just been a total joke this year.

I wont ever vote again anyway as much of the money lines Cowells pockets... It is a complete joke now, it doesn't really matter who wins anyway, even those that don't win still get record deals, it's all very pointless... Everyone should stop wasting their money in voting...

We used to have one - it was called Pop Idol and, as well the brilliant Will Young, it also spawned the bleating sheep that was Michelle McManus.

I won't watch for the rest of this series, but will tune in next year.
Losing my three favourite acts in three conescutive weeks is pretty galling, especially considering its the smug tosser on the end who had the casting vote (no offence to SyCo, or his very expensive legal team) who has voted them out each time.

So yep, I'm out this series but will be back next year... I think.

Last edited by 21stCenturyBoy : 08-11-2009 at 22:31. Reason: wasn't clear who I was referring to, although "smug tosser" and "x factor judge" can produce only one result when used in the same sentence

it was crap this year right from the start with the BGT idea and all the acts this year have been crap and now its just not worth watching but sadly several million still will and cowell wins the only way to stop him is by not watching such tripe but sadly that will never happen not for many years till people get bored of the same old thing every year like big brother crap crap crap

Hmm considering the pop genre is based on media coverage, entertainment and lack of artistic flair, it is right Jedward are still in. Anyone who takes pop music seriously is quite simply an idiot and luckily Jedward and Louis aren't taking it too seriously and keeping it entertaining.

If Jedward had gone, I guarentee ratings will have dipped. Lucie had a boring style and a very average voice. She is no loss whatsoever.

At least Laura was eliminated over an equally amazing contestant (Ruth). To lose Lucie in such circumstances makes a mockery of the musical side of the show.
