OP, I agree 100% - & it's not fair blaming Jedward either, if they had the lowest votes we would have had to accept that they were going home.
Everyone who is up in arms about the result - how many of you actually voted for Lucie? |

Yes he did. Just because less people voted her as favourite doesn't mean she was the one the public liked less between those two. It just means more people voted J and E as favourites.

Yes he did, he had the power to save her and he let it go to deadlock and ultimately sent Lucie home!

It is a SING off. She SANG better than them. Simon said he sent it to deadlock last week because Rachel had been in the bottom 2 twice. Lucie has never been in the bottom two and if he genuinely thought Lucie wouldn't have been bottom then he should have saved her to make sure.
He's a p*ss artist. When his artists are in the bottom 2, it's a singing competition. When his are safe, he gets rid of the good ones. He's a joke. |

Simon made the conscous decision to vote Lucie out though as he knew full well who was bottom of the votes, the public didn't do that.

I agree with the OP. The public should have voted for her and they didn't vote enough. It's not Simon's fault the public didn't vote for her.

I voted for her, so I have the right to be angry at this.

I agree 100%. I hope the twins will be o.k after this. It's not their fault they got through.

I voted for her too. The decision was a joke. Simon knew exactly what he was doing.
Lucie was awesomely talented.....moreso than Stacey. |

Yeah it's not Simon's fault. It was just perhaps a brave gamble he made that horribly backfired.

Yes he did. He was supposed to vote off the worse act, like he said he was going to do

do people not realise Simon gets told in the ad break who has the lowest votes out of the two of them? He knows who's name is in the envelope. So he bases his decision on that on who he wants to stay or go. He's in complete control all the time.

Lucie should he been in the final, John and Edward should have gone home.
The English public got this wrong. |

Simon knew exactly who he was getting rid of. It's very naive to think that he doesn't have the voting percentages before the juge's vote.
I think the anger is down to Cowell saying that it was a fresh start, and that he would vote on the sing-off performance, then taking it to 'deadlock'. If it was reliant upon the public vote each week, then fair enough, but it's not right for the judges (i.e. Cowell) to exploit their vote and use it tactically. If this is the case, get rid of the judge's vote. Then Lucie would have been seen to have a fairer exit. |

He is supposed to vote for who he thought was the better of the two acts. He voted to get rid of Lucie. The people who voted for the twins are young children and I can't have a problem with them because, to five-year-olds, the twins are fun. Simon is meant to be able to juge music objectively and clearly he wanted rid of the better vocalist in order to make his acts safer.

So why bother with the farce of getting the judges to decide between the bottom two then? Why not just send it straight to the public vote every time if none of them have got the backbone to cast the terminal vote for the worst act?
Cowell had the deciding vote to get rid of the joke act in this years contest and he bottled it big style; he CANNOT now say anything against Jedward even if they end up knocking out his acts. |
