Lucie went FAIR and SQUARE!!!

At the end of the day, she got the lowest public vote, so therefore deserved to go!!

Its a TV show, and look what a buzz it has caused!

Simon is sitting back laughing at every1 being annoyed.

I totally agree. Simon had every chance if they boys were so detested to get rid immeidately tonight. He didnt because we all know he loves them really !!!!! They are PR gold for the show.

He handed it over to the public vote and NO ONE can argue about Lucie because at the end of the day............she got the lowest vote from the public fair and square.

Just because someone polls the lowest number of votes, it doesn't mean they deserved to go.

Lucie is far superior vocalist to Jedward. Her getting in the bottom two tonight was sheer bad luck in the same way Maria Lawson was in x-factor 2.

Simon could have saved Lucie, the better singer, but chose publicity for the show instead. Do you think if Jedward were against one of his boys, he would have taken it to deadlock? Do me a favour! He decides to go to deadlock based on his personal mission. He wants a male to win and knew Lucie and Stacey are a threat to that. It also helps that Jedward generate publicty for his show. Nothing about tonights result was fair. If it was, Simon would have stuck to his guns and voted on who gave the better performance but he didn't. He voted for who he wanted to see again... even that was a spin. He may aswell have said out loud that he wanted the media-generated act to return.

Simon has lost all credibility this year.

All very well but at this stage its supposed to be the judges vote.

The public vote part kicks in later.

Well, if that was how the x-factor is supposed to work, yep, all fine.

However, this is not how the show works.

2 bottom voted acts sing-off, the judges are SUPPOSED to vote off the weakest act.

The problem is, it breaks down with 4 judges and always they cop-out and it goes to the public vote. The show was designed around 3 judges and a 2-1 majority.

The Sunday show should be 15 minutes long if it was a straight public vote, but the pantomime fleshes it out for an hour.

I totally agree with Simon. Lucie had zero chance of winning. She has a decent voice but nothing else, she'd have been a poor winner so it'd be better to keep things interesting and entertaining by having Jedward in.

If that's the case, they should get rid of the sing-off and the judges vote between the bottom two then.

Then why bother to have the bottom 2, Simon might as well scrap the sing off and just kick out the lowest vote, after all he did the same last week. This show is a joke now as are those awful twins.

We can argue about it because the judges are supposed to have the final say, not the public. Fair enough, the bottom two acts are placed there by the public, but not the final decision as to who goes or stays - thats the judges decision.

Simon made no bones about the fact he disliked the twins, deriding them at every opportunity, yet when he has chance to get rid, he takes it to deadlock. I think there should be five or three judges in that case to avoid situations like this

How has he lost credibility. This is SIMON'S SHOW Full stop and he is there to provide a saturday entertainment show that will have the public talking and arguing and filling the papers with headlines.

This is not a serious talent show where the hunt is on for a top class singer, its a saturday entertainment show to make Cowell even more millions than he already has and generate massive viewing figures. He could give a rats ass who wins as long as they remain number 1 in the ratings and the dosh keeps flooding in.

She will do better by not winning people!! she doesnt need the Xfactor to make it!! she is almost too good for that show.

Its a tv show, nothing to do with talent, what about the 1000s of people who didnt even get to the judges who are 2wice as talented as lucie??

Totally with you there. It's meant as a safety net to prevent things like this happening. So scrap the sing off.

Can't wait to see Simon squirm this week. Controversy is one thing, public outrage is another beast entirely...

I don't trust Simon not to be ringing in votes for his own acts. This year stinks more than last.

Exactly.

If people liked her so much, they should have voted.

She got the least votes so I suppose she wasn't so popular with the voters.

The fact that's it's Simon's show means he's lost even more credibility than if it wasn't. He's the one who keeps banging on that it's a singing show, but he doesn't practice what he preaches.

If it were your (talented) favourite you would be fuming too. These threads are irritating. Get off your high horse.

Excuse me, I did. No need to be so rude. Many of us DO vote for our favourites and when they go we have the right to be upset - yet people like yourselves accuse us of not voting enough. Some of us don't have the money to vote a million times and some of us don't feel the need to vote more than once.
