It's really upset me

the look on the twin's faces tonight. I actually felt quite tearful watching the xtra-factor.

I know I should be enjoying the fact that they survived, nothing against Lucie, but I love watching the boys. Instead I'm quite affected by it all.

It's about time the xtrafactor gave them a few nice callers to pep them up a bit.

God knows how their parents are coping, I wouldn't.

Its a lot of pressure thats for sure.

Only the floor manager can stop the negative audience reaction ( that IMO would go a long way in helping them)

Personally I love the fact they showed True emotions even on stage about lucie going.
tonight might be a new chapter for them.

I can see a lot of the press Venom now being directed at Cowell.

I know. And the thing is, they're being treated like villains and they've done nothing wrong! They only auditioned for the show, and the judges/producers put them through. They didn't stop people from voting for Lucie and they didn't ask Simon to go to deadlock. Blame Simon or the producers or the people who didn't vote for Lucie!

By the way, I loved their survival song. It's my new favourite twins performance. Hopefully Lucie will say more nice things about them when she's doing the press circuit.

They looked absolutely shellshocked ; I don't think we've ever seen an act in tears after surviving the sing off.

The crowd laughing at them while they were crying was utterly disgusting.

When will everyone realise this show is one big pantomime. The producers edit the show, they dictate the way people will be perceived.

If people don't think 2 young boys being villified isn't child abuse then the world has gone mad.
Lord we can't even sing baa baa black sheep anymore yet we can see these boys getting bullied on national tv by 2 has been old geezers, one has been 'singer' and a talentless wag from newcastle!

What is wrong with this world!

It has upset me too, even if those two lads appeared to take all the insults and boos in their stride at the beginning, its only a matter of time before it gets to them, and tonight it has. I just cannot understand why some people think its ok to hurl abuse at two young lads who are on a TV programme, put there by the TV company, and kept in by a large part of the public every week.

My opinion - Jedward should be in the finals, but in BGT, not X-Factor. They are entertaining, but not singers: X Factor is a singing contest.

I do think audiences booing anyone is awful.

that should worry the hell out of them TBH..

thats how it started in big brother and most of know how thats ended up..

The floor manager Should be telling them before hand stuff like that isnt welcome and if its carried on they risk being ejected from the studio.

who is next for the booing if the twins leave its a very worrying Trend.

Why though, it's the public who failed to vote for Lucie, they had more say than him.

I think its all the OTT comments he made like axing the show and leaving the UK if they won.

Had he remained silent it still would have been iffy just not
hypocritical

i just watched the start of Xtra but it seems, judging by the comments here, they got a really tough time i really love them and i'm delighted they got through but i really hope they aren't exploited and have good people surrounding them.

i've got to be honest, i doubt Ms Minogue's comments helped them. Giving them hugs and kisses after having a go them just doesn't cut it. She really should act like a big girl now that she is what, 10 years older than them?!

It's a shame Cheryl took her disappointment at Rikki's elimination out on the twins, and now Dannii appears to be doing the same. It's not the twins' fault that other acts are leaving before them, they are only young and are forming bonds with and living with the other contestants. The judges should try to be more professional, and support their own acts without blaming others

One of the most sensible and accurate posts of the night. I applaud you.

I agree, but then the "boys" themselves and indeed all other X-Factor entrants should know what to expect by now. The show is well established and everyone knows what they're letting themselves in for. What we saw tonight has happened before on Cowell's shows and will happen again until the penny drops and the bubble bursts as it has with Big Brother.

Twins are a great comedy duo and that is why they should be on bgt cause they got talent but it's not as singers or recording artists

The woman is nearly forty, she was a disgrace tonight.I can see why Sharon O hated her.People think they can say or do anything to these boys and its ok, like they are not even human/have no feelings. She was talking like they were not even there listening.very bitter,a sore loser. Its shameful the booing is allowed, Dermot looked and sounded furious tonight.
I was a luci fan first and am sad to see her go, but J/E sang well tonight and the vocal coach said they had only a fraction of coaching compared to the other singers. It is emotional abuse and should be stopped.

I don't disagree with you oathy. What he's done is kept in the most newsworthy act while now knowing for sure they won't win because they were voted into the bottom two.

I am fairly sure he would have known the public vote before he "went to deadlock".

I agree.

It's not just the booing that's affected me it's the whole thing - the way they are being treated. No supportive calls on xtra-factor....Danni and Cheryl blaming them for staying in....Simon using them for his own gain, booing and abuse from the audience. They really get a rough deal all round, imo.

I feel for them....they are only 18. I dont think Id be able to cope at that age with all this abuse. They are very strong young lads. I hope they stay next week

I know it was horrendous. Everyone they spoke to slated them. They'd just won tonight's sing off for Pete's sake

It's like they couldn't even be happy, they were made to feel guilty from all angles.

People really need to grow up. They were voted through again. Simon likes them and didn't want them to go. Put it to public vote, which is fair enough in m book - we pay for the votes! The public liked the twins better than Lucie.

I'm so happy they're through but I worry for their safety. There are some derranged people about. They're going to need bodyguards soon. And Simon Cowell is for the matter.

I don't even believe they're the worst act remaining!

I reckon that other than their entertainment value, the twins are about to pick up a lot of votes based on how they are handling the criticism they continually receive - although I'm sure they've already had a few of these.

I don't think I'd vote for them, as they shouldn't win based on the prize offered by the show, but I hope they'll do well in future and I'm looking forward to seeing them on tour, and probably on one of my annual Butlin's trips!

Totally agree with you about the BB parallels. This trend is starting to become like something from medieval times.

I was raised in times where if you couldn't say anything nice, you didn't say anything at all. I can't get to grips with all this 'being honest' i.e. being rude to someone thing that people seem to celebrate these days which started with BB when people who were brought up to be polite were routinely accused of 'not being honest' and therefore 'had a game plan'.

It's very sad when an audience feels it's ok to boo and jeer a pair of 18 year old boys and this is seen as acceptable by the powers that be.

See most UK town centres on a Friday or Saturday night - all concepts of decency and morals have gone out of the window for many in the UK.
