V+ Reformat

My box keeps rebooting almost daily now and I want to reformat the HD before calling faults. Does anyone know the process?

I'm sure time is the same as cableforum just a couple of years older (2008)/and D/S original

You will lose any remaining recordings and you'll also need to make a note of your series links to re-input as these are also lost during a reformat

All operations are carried out using the Remote Control

Press the 'HOME' Button

Press down the Play button for 5 seconds (E-00 Will appear on the V+ box front display)

Press the V+ Button. (E-01 Will appear on the V+ front display)

Press the CH - button 4 times. (As you do this hdd1, hdd2, hdd3 and then hdd4 will appear on the display)

Reformatting will then begin and rFt will appear on the display and it'll take a few minutes and then the box will reboot.

After reformatting leave the box for about 10 minutes before re-inputting series links to allow the EPG to fully load

I must confess that I didn't have a problem with the SA box I had it for around 3/4 years and it rarely let me down, it was only recently that it started to reboot under stress - ie recording 2 programs and flicking through channel surfing.

I rang on Monday and spoke to someone in the UK , got an appointment for Tuesday morning and by midday I was up and running with the Sammy. Which is good service from VM, considering 50meg after this!
