Has Simon overstepped the mark for good this time? YES OR NO!

YES

The bubble has at last burst for Mr Cowell... I believe, he got greedy, arrogant and overly confident.

Can we have a poll please mods.

Is this the final death knell for Mr Cowell? Knighthood may just be out of the window!

No chance of a knighthood, they clocked him ages ago.

It seems like he follows the code of - do as I say, but not as I do.

Simon deserves to be knighted for this...to remain impartial about John and Edward despite his obvious dislike of them is nothing short of extraordinary...

He dislikes Lucie too.

He just showed that his creativity goes just as far as exploiting kids. I am sure they can find somebody in history who has exploited somebody for the sake of the empire and an inevitable knighthood.

And another one

I did! And I'm outraged. And I do believe Simon has overstepped the mark one too many times this series.

Agree, I reckon he will regret his own 'cockiness' this time. The public love to hate, love to dislike and pick holes in.....but they love to love too.

Simon has gone beyond that now....shown himself up to be a fraud, a con man in my opinion who is hoodwinking the public, laughing at them in their face and thinking we don't notice? Duh!?? Pardon? We are real too Simon and can seeeeee you for who you are. A fake.....sorry but tonight you blew it for me for good.

Nah. If you're going to be outraged with anyone; be outraged with those who clearly didn't vote for Lucie enough.

SC did what he does all the time so I don't understand why anyone is in any way surprised or annoyed.

He is a Master Manipulator and totally excelled himself earlier. The papers all week will be full of Simon Cowell and please note that the contestants and other judges will continue to be merely bit players in the Pantomime.

Anyway all 'The Disgusted' from Tunbridge Wells will be watching next weekend and a whole lot of new viewers will be watching just to see what all the fuss was about.

Job well done Mr Cowell.

Yes, anytime he says to the other judges you have to vote for my act as they are clearly the most talented they can just respond "you didn't so why should we". He will have lost alot of respect with alot of people tonight imo.

Definatly, for a few reasons.

1) Saying before they sang he would base it on the vocal. Yeah right!
2) Saying he would leave the country if J&E win, clearly not the case.
3) Obvious tactial voting, I wish Dannii had voted out Danyl now a few shows back.
4) Trying to justify it by saying 'Oh I thought she would have got more votes'

Oh and yes I did vote for Lucie this week.

I really can see what he did so wrong? He let it go to the Public Vote. He didn't know which way that was going to go. I dont see how you can be fairer than that tbh!

You can't vote for everyone you like, unless you're loaded. It doesn't mean though that you can't be outraged when a contestant you believe to be highly talented leaves the show before a contestant you believe to have none, or less talent.

That maybe so, but once all has settled down, Simon Cowell is actually still a person and likes to be liked. He has lost quite a lot of that tonight.

For all his put downs in the past he has usually shown ethical mature decisions but tonight NO.

May I ask everyone who is annoyed about the result, would you be equally enraged if the public vote had gone the other way?

Yep. The sing off is a safety net introduced by Simon Cowell to ensure that the best vocalists have the chance of being saved. I only recall it being used ONCE this year. He changes his mind every week as to what sort of competition it is, and I think it's disgusting that Lucie could perform like that and be put in that situation when the winner wins a recording contract.
