Lucie Thought She Was Staying

Lucie didnt seem as upset as other acts have by being in the bottom two

She sang her song very nicely smiling as though she was happy but without any kind of passion to the meaning of the song

When Dermot got the twins and her together she high fived the twins and stood smiling and IMO confident the judges would save her (I dont like the twins but they looked gutted)

She smiled at Louies choice knowing who he would vote for, she smiled at Dannii's choice, she didnt look worried when it came to Cheryl
Then came Simon and as soon as he said he got stick for going to deadlock last week Lucie knew he was going to let it go to deadlock again and her face fell, she realised it was up to the public and that she had a very good chance of leaving

Jamie and Danyl have both been accused of being cocky but when they were in the bottom two they were both crapping themselves that they would be going home, everyone who has found out they were in the bottom two have looked really worried and scared......all except Lucie

She took for granted that the judges would save her and it made her feel safe and IMO COCKY

BIG MISTAKE LUCIE

Lucie looked like she was singing to an empty bar in a hotel in Benidorm...no passion...no determination...I thought she was on singstar...a complete contrast to John and Edward's eye of the tiger performance...

You didn't see Xtra Factor then? Lucie has nothing but love for J&E. I do think she thought she had a good chance, let's face it she can belt a song and she has a lovely voice. THe judges have slated J&E throughout the competition and Simon is usually adamant that he goes on vocals.

Not surprised she was gutted when it went to deadlock. She came across so, so well on Xtra Factor. A very mature and decent young lady. I hope she goes far.

I noticed that too but to be fair to the girl, we all thought the twins were out.

Thank God we were wrong.

Ys I did see the Xtra Factor

She may have love for J&E but she still thought she had it in the bag and was safe

A decent singer getting the twins in the sing-off is like Man Utd getting Acrington Stanley in the FA cup you dont expect to lose.

ya i agree with you however i think she thought that if theres anyone you want to be in the bottom 2 with its jedward.....lets be honest you dont want to be there with danyl or olly.....she must have thought that the judges were going to send home the act they have been giving out about for months not the act they said has found her niche and should be the last girl.........

Absolute tosh. She seemed resigned to her fate, and did her best to go out with the best performance she could muster. She knew as well as any of us that Simon wouldn't have let it go to deadlock unless he was 100% confident that the twins were safe. So of course she reacted at that point - she didn't want to go, but she knew that it was inevitable as soon as he chickened out. She went to great lengths to support the twins immediately afterwards, rather than looking for attention. She proved herself to be mature beyond her years, and the absolute personification of graciousness and good sportsmanship.

Either way... Simon has his eye firmly on the 'gate'.

This is v true - I noticed that she was smiling through her performance like never before. She seemed completley unfazed. But I'm not sure if this really changed the outcome. SImon knows that it is Jedward who are cuasinginterest this series - not Lucie. So, unless she pulled out a performance like Ruth Lorenzo's bottom two performances last year, I have a feeling it would have gone to deadlock anyway.

Yeah, Lucy looked reasonably sanguine up to the point it went to deadlock. Then she looked really worried as if she was expecting to go home. She and/or Dannii made another big mistake with her bland sing-off song choice IMO, compounding the dreadful choice on Saturday which got her into the mess in the first place. If they'd picked a cracking song and she'd put some emotion into it, she could have made it virtually impossible for Simon not to kick out the twins.

At least Lucie SANG her sing off song.
Don't know who the voices were singing for the twins.

Lucie will have a career in singing.
Full marks to her for being so dignified, and Danni's remarks were fully justified.

Reinstate Lucie... Or this series is finished.
