time to give cowell what he deserves

after the faisco at the weekend, cowell went down in my estimations. I'm not niave enough to think that x factor is about talent, because like britains got talent, its clearly not. cowell is interested in entertainment, publicity and money.

however, he's clearly a hypocrit and has, IMO, damaged the brand of x factor. I now hope the twins do actually win because its just what cowell deserves. from now on I'll be voting for jedward in the hope of wiping that smug grin off cowells face

Sorry Bionicfrank- it has been very obvious for a while now- Jedward never made it to the final 12 'by accident' or because Louis went on a 'solo run'- Louis and Simon are very good friends- producers deliberately chose them (rightly given subsequent public reaction)

He didn't want Lloyd to go out last week because he didn't want to lose revenue from teenagers buying tickets for live tour- hence deadlock (clearly rachel better singer)

He didn't want to lose Jedward because he knows that in a mediocre year- thay re one of the main reasons people are tuning in- (clearly lucie better singer)

BUT IT IS A TV SHOW- IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE SINGING

The sing off should be scrapped. Whoever gets the least votes should go! Simple.

Jedward winning is a dream come true for Simon.

Gosh, I am having such a laugh last night and this morning - whoever you vote for, it makes Simon money.

Either don't vote at all or vote for the ones you actually like best. Anything else is silly and gets you nowhere.

Voting still gives him what he wants.

What he deserves is no votes, and to lose viewers.

He's drunk on tabloid publicity right now though.

Let's make it true then

I bet he doesnt believe for a second they have a chance of winning, hes just saying he likes them so that ppl will vote the opposite.

Simon would love nothing more than the twins to win this year. If he hated them, they would have got the boot last night.

It's clear that Simon doesn't want a female to win. He made his stance on that pretty obvious from the begining of the show. Right now anyone but Stacey winning would be a win for him.

He wants a bad act for his beloved Olly in the final
No way he wants them to really win.

Maybe, maybe not but I'm not wasting a vote on those twins. Whether they win or not, it's more publicity for the show and Simon loves it.

I think Stacey winning would get his back up more than anything as he has quite clearly targeting the girls this year. He wants a male to win.

Lol, you can do that if you like.

Me, I will continue to support my favourites and stop voting when and if they all go. I shall express "outrage" of course, thats half the fun.

But anyone who honestly thinks Simon gives a flying banana who actually wins, you are sadly mistaken.

If J&E win, he will give them initial support and as soon as they stop making him money, he will drop them like hot cakes and concentrate on whichever of the other finalists he deems worthy. Same as every year.

Frankly, if you actually care a toss about Jedward, you probably won't vote for them past the next couple of weeks - there is genuine interest for them for tv at the moment, if they win, by the time SC has finished with them, all that will have disappeared more than likely.

But we must all do what we want. But don't for one minute think that SC is going to care.

There I was thinking that it was the public that voted, oh hang on they did and Lucie came bottom of that vote. Why blame Simon, surely the public that voted are to blame.

Both share the blame but in that moment, Simon held all the power and decided to vote for Jedward - two attrocious singers who he has mocked every week - over Lucie who has expressed sheer praise for over the last couple of weeks. Only on Saturday he said she would be the last girl standing. Pfft!

I think Simons hypocrisy more than anything that has wound people up but it doesn't help that Lucie went over the twins where it doesn't take a genious to see who was better and who deserved to stay more.

I agree. Simon would love to be proved right about the twins. He wants you to vote for them.

Now come on!! What would you do then? You are running a massive talent show to make you money, this is the end bit - to make money!

Simon will know what the public are voting each week, he will see who is on for a winner, who isn't - as will all the judges tbh. I am willing to bet that the voting for both those girls has been borderline low, in other words they were not cutting it with the 'buying' public. This is down to us.

The one thing I am really hating is the fact that all this is going to wreck two young (and I believe), smashing lads lives. I blame Louis for bringing them in in the first instance and the public for keeping them in. There are now so many 'hate' sites on these lads it's disgusting, and for that reason, I reckon XF is as bad as throwing the gladiators to the lions in uncivilised times.

The only way to 'give Simon what he deserves', is for a significant amount of people to stop watching the show.

But we all know that's not going to happen.

No it isnt, and why should we?

Anyone with any sense knows what they are watching. If you enjoy it with your eyes wide open why switch off?

I certainly won't be switching off. I have always loved The X Factor and always will.

My obvious sarcasm obviously was not obvious enough. I was humoring the topic starter with my suggestion.

I enjoy the show too and am certainly not going to stop watching because asnine conspirists think the show is fixed every time a vote does not go their way.

As Simon said, it's not his fault the public voted the way they voted. Although I am a little dissapointed he decided to take it to deadlock again instead of doing his job and judging the contestants.

Sorry, I have not yet had enough coffee to be fully awake this morning!

I am waiting my turn to be similarly "outraged" when one of my favourites goes, which is bound to happen sooner or later. Oh what fun it will be!
