To all the people boycotting the show

Well, first of all, it really does not make a difference to anyone whether you are watching the show or not. So, it is really annoying reading these sort of comments. The show will go on whether you watch it or not.

HOWEVER, if you feel disgusted about what happened, and the tactics Simon is using, instead of boycotting the show, why not let Simon taste some of his 'medicine'.

How? Easy.. watch the show and don't vote for his acts. That will wipe his cocky smile off his face.

What do you guys think?

I think that people need to get over the fact that lucie went because as simon said.. he didnt put them there .. i for one think simon made the right choice i would rather watch Jedward over lucie anyday.. and yes it is a singing comp but neither of them would have won
if there are so many people outraged by the fact lucie have gone.. where the hell were you when the voting lines opend..

If they feel that strongly about it they shouldnt vote for anyone.

Lets get it right, every vote puts money in Simon's pocket, he honestly couldnt give a crap who you are voting for.

And I am sick of people thinking that the right thing to do is blame Simon's acts for his behaviour. If you do that, you are as bad as he is - make no mistake.

Either vote for your favourite, be it one of Simon's acts or not, or don't vote at all.

I think it is best to trust your own judgement as to who you like or dislike. I think it is wrong to vote to keep someone in if a judge makes a remark you dont like.

I actually like two of Simon's acts and will not let Simon's cockiness and attitude towards the others cloud my judgement of them.

My fave is Ollie and I will stand by him all the way and my advice to others is to ignore the judges and do the same with the act of your choice.

But it isn't ultimately his decision, it's the producers, and the only thing they understand is the ratings and beating Strictly Come Dancing.

Tune out, watch selected clips online instead, and Richard Holloway, who clearly must have told Simon to keep the twins during their advert break consultation before the sing off, will start wetting himself. Even a couple of million shortfall will get the message to him and ITV that the bubble has burst.

They've put the twins in as a John Sargeant/Todd Carty pairing to beat Strictly. Joke's over.

I think a lot of lucie fans will now vote for stacey so his acts could be in trouble anyway, i hope

It is a show for the great unwashed and I don't bother with it.

Cheap fodder to keep the masses amused.

more like being as cunning as he is.

The fact is, with Alexandra burke, and leona lewis in the scene, Simon has been totally against females in this series.
He knows that there is no market for another female artist, so he wants a male to win this time.
Have you not wondered how his 3 acts are all males?
Next wk he ll rip into stacey

To be fair, the hottest and most talented person went out.

It's all bullshit about her 'not going to win it anyway' going on the bits i've seen, she is in all honesty probably the best person there. She is/was the whole package

Hot - Check
Can Sing - Check
Has a similar vibe to Joss Stone - Check

who do you have left?

Jedward - Irish idiots, can't sing, can't entertain, can't walk in headwinds above 5mph
Lloyd - Too weak and looks like a reject from neighbours after a typhoon
Joe - More bent than an incorrectly seated tent peg, weak and very very wet
Stacey - Limited vocal range, looks like Gonzo from the muppet show boffed cheryl coles mum...I've seen more common sense in a packet of chocolate bourbons.
Olly - just about ok, but too old and has a forehead like a freezer door.
Jamie - hmmm maybe, but do we REALLY want another Lamarr
Danyl - If your parents can't even spell Daniel right then you have no place on tv.

I vote neither left nor right, i don't watch Saturday Nights show and i'm kind of semi forced to watch the results show.

Unfortunately the reality is Cowell couldn't give a toss as long as the phone voting keeps ramping up he and his tv company make more and more and more cash, and i'll tell you if your makin several million a week from phone lines, people calling you a cock and saying they won't watch TV really doesn't bother you that much.

THEY ARE ALL HIS ACTS! They will all make him money.

Voting one way or the other just plays into his game.

You are quite correct, he probably will.

But my point still stands. If you react based on Simon's behaviour, you are just doing what he wants you to do.

So, I stand by, vote for your favourite whoever they are, or don't vote at all.

Anything else isnt worth the effort.

The only effort required in the TV broadcast boycott is to click on this instead and select what you want to view, effectively voting with a viewing hit.

Cowell owns Syco which makes the X-Factor. Whatever the "producers" say, Cowell calls the shots.

The whole idea of judges haveing their own teams of acts is just a ruse to spin the whole series out even further to bring in more revenue for Syco and ITV, and create the impression of drama and rivalries.

As previous posters have stated, they are all his acts, and as long as they make money (whoever wins) he is happy.

I watch it because I enjoy it and feel that many feel the same way.

While I sympathise with those who feel it was a tragedy that Lucie is no longer on the show why is she not so?
If people don't vote for their favs., and they favs are in the bottom two what is it to do with anyone else?

What do you guys think?

Voting for his acts means nothing to him just as long as you vote. People must be naive to think Simon cares if his acts go or not. Its all about the ultimate winner and who would make him Millions after X factor

Hi,

Surely the 'big money' is what comes later - all the records sold, albums etc

If he were to have another 'failed' act, his reputation would be in question and therefore he would be in a pretty dire position - so I say, whoever wins, just don't buy their records!!!

It's a great TV show but the resulting music it produces is hideous. The people to blame for Cowell's success are the ones who buy Syco's rubbish music. But if people like it and want to pay for it then so be it. It's their money and their choice.

I agree it is a show nothing more and nothing less.
It is there to stimulate interest in the individual acts; again I agree with you SC calls the shotes it is his show basically.
Again the judges are being paid and obviously are well versed each week.

All the contestants are his and i t is facinating to watch the machenation at the moment.

Simon does not care about who wins its all about vote and rating, Rating will give him a better chance to charge ITV more next year, and give him more money coming in from them votes.

So if people dont want to watch it anymore then respect to them. As not everyone is happy been treated like a brainless muppet from Simon so if this is they way to say f**k you Simon then so be it.
