Rod Stewart

Did anyone see Rod Stewart singing " The Same Old Song " on Strictly Come Dancing? Fantastic version...

He's sung a bunch a old Motown hits on his new album Soulbook.

I'm laughing at the amount of views/replies old Rod has got with this thread.

Maybe it's about time he sang on X Factor.

I quite like Rod "The Mod" Stewart. His Great American Songbook stuff was rather good. I think i may have to check out the new album as I am rather partial to soul.
Rod is certainly better than most of garbage they bring into the X Factor. I mean the Black Eyed Peas, talk about dredging the barrel of rubbish artists.

I liked Rod's early stuff like the 'Every Picture Tells A Story' album and the stuff he did with the Jeff Beck Group.

I'd rather listen to the Four Tops and whoever else he has chosen to cover for his new album. I don't think much of his pipes these days.

Lost a bit of respect for Rod now, as he only seems to release albums full of cover versions. Sad really, as has written some great songs in his time

i too liked and respected rods early material, by the time he went solo imho he had passed his best.

oddly enough i rate his incarnation as 'python lee jackson' - 'in a broken dream' as possibly my fav rod track.

im not bothered about him covering old soul tracks, i think his voice is appropriate for them...

I watched it and tbh i thought his singing was awful.

Iam not a fan but have enjoyed some of his older material 70s to early 80s
