I feel a little sorry for The Twins as the backlash will be incredible now

As some have said it not their fault what happened.

However Cowell is laughing as he has had it almost confirmed that they cannot win now.

He has another week of front page headlines, how many viewers this weekend 18 million viewers?

He knows the The Twins have almost served their purpose now and the backlash against them now will be very painful.

The backlash seems to be more against Cowell than the Twins

I dont think it will as its not their fault they are in this situation, that is mr walsh;s fault for including them in his top 3. I think the back lash towards simon will go up now, he has gone way down in my estimations after last night, i just hope that in future weeks it doesnt backfire on him and jamie ir danyl get eliminated as a result of last night because lets face it , the show seems to be more about the judges these days

OP why would there be a backlash against J and E??
they stayed fair and square over an act who got less votes.
i believe deadlock is fair because its a true representation of public votes and opinion.
its who WE want to see next week NOT the judges.

Honestly, I think all the venom is directed to Simon right now.

I don't like the twins (thier voices and I don't think they deserve to be on a singing competition). That said, I have no ill-feeling towards them and last night was not thier fault. Them being in the competiton is not thier fault. Their just two genuinely nice guys who is taking a shot at fame. Any teen would jump at this opportunity.

However I blame Simon for showing sheer hypocrisy and deciding to let the twins stay, who are downright awful vocally, over Lucie who was superior.

The whole 'public' blame doesn't wash. The sing of situation was created to avoid these types of situations yet, last night it became completly pointless.

There will be no backlash. There never is.

Every year there is a "controversial" incident, which leads to people on this website moaning and bitching and predicting a backlash against certain acts, and you know what, it never happens. And you know why? Because people bitching on an internet message board do not represent the majority, never have, never will.

Very true - it's only a TV show - chances are the so-called 'backlash' will gain them more publicity and votes and even if they don't win they will probably get to release a novelty record and earn a wad of cash. The majority of people don't even watch the X Factor!

The twins have never deserved to be booed..they are simply puppets and props for the show.

If there is any booing then it should all be aimed at Mr Cowell.

There will be not backlash. The twins had nothing whatsoever to do with this situation.
If Lucie fans did not vote they did not vote simples.

I think Edward understood what 'backlash' meant. He was just bewildered that there would be one and I don't blame him, it's an entertainment show but people are acting like they have murdered someone.

Absolutely agree - however, I do think that the boys have been / are being poorly advised.....

They, IMO, should do a "John Sargent" and withdraw - maximum dignity and respect for them, and a large spanner in the Cowell Enterprises money making machine.

Pffft no why the hell should they walk out and bow down to bullies? they deserve to be there. The public paid money to keep them in. As long as they have support from the public they should stay. I liked Lucie but she got the least amount of votes, that's just the way it is.

I don't think you will find any Lucie fans blaming the twins for her exit. I don't even think I have read articles in on any news websites blaming the twins.

The venom and hatred is directed, and rightly so, at the hypocritical Simon Cowell.

I think it's because Lucie got behind the twins and showed her support so her fans probably want to respect her opinion, I guess.

The anger isn't just coming from Lucie fans it's coming from fans of music in general, A lot of people who might be supporting Stacey or Joe are unhappy about this result not so much about who left rather then who stayed. The outrage would have been the same if it had been Stacey, Joe, Danyl etc in the bottom 2

I think one of Simon's will go next week, for me it has to be Jamie, I thought his rendition of Crying was terrible. and Daniel wasn't far behind him with Purple Rain which was poor.
