Samsung Volume problem....maybe?

I'm trying to figure out if i actually have an issue with my bedroom 19" samsung.
About 4 months ago i had it repaired under warranty because the screen was going a bit greenish when there was a lot of black on the screen. Samsung agreed it was a fault and i got it repaired at a local samsung shop.
But since then and it was the wife that noticed it first, the volume has been a bid odd to say the least. On freeview it's fine but when i switch to sky which is connected via an RF cable to the downstairs box the volume on some channels has to be turned up to a whopping '60', normally loud is 20.
Whats weird is this is not on all channels only some like tcm or 5, usually bbc1 etc is fine.
The fact the freeview is fine and it's only some channels it happens on tells me the tv is fine yet the fact it only became noticeable when the tv was returned from the repairers makes me doubt this.
P.S. when the tv was repaired apparently they just changed the panel.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Have you tried turning up the sky box volume using it's remote control ?

Hi
I have a sky hd box and unlike the old sky+ boxes there doesn't seem to be a volume to turn up in the options section?

Sky HD is a Dolby 5.1 box, so (just like 5.1 DVD players) the sound when down converted to stereo is very much quieter, this needs to be so to maintain the dynamic range.

Thanks Nigel

I can understand that it makes sense up to a point, but wouldn't the feed from BBC1 or say sky sports be exactly the same as for TCM or FIVE?

Plus there's the fact i only noticed it since the samsing lcd came back from repair.

It depends if the channel is transmitting as Dolby 5.1 - some programmes are, some aren't.

I can only imagine it's that you've only just noticed it?.
