Why the hell does Simon want a male winner so bad?
I mean where is Steve, Shayne and Leon now? I personally think Olly, Jamie and Danyl will all flop after the show and be forgotten by the time Series 7 starts

IMO Its to give Leona and Alex a chance to settle in.
thats why he wants J&E to win the show they will be more on the kids TV/fun songs. |

It's becoming plain and simple. I was going to rip him one on the xtra factor call ins. I even got put on hold and spoke to one of their team members who called me back.
But was never put through in the end

Lol, he doesnt care. For heavens sake.
As I keep saying, he doesnt give a toss who wins. He will support the winner til they stop making him money, then drop them. In the meantime he will have his pick of the rest and market them to the hilt if he thinks it will make him money. Would he prefer a male winner? Maybe, but as far as the winner goes, any twit will do! And I say that in the nicest possible way. I love the contestants. |

Seems the public do too. Nine females have gone out this year against just one male. And it was the public vote that decided it.
And some really good singers such as Rachel and Lucie fail to get enough votes while not very good singers such as Jamie and Lloyd do. |

You can't just blame Simon. Lucie had the least amount of votes. I agree with what he said, she was never going to win it. If Simon wants a male winner it's because the standard of the guys - particularly the older ones was a lot higher than the girls.
Everyone seems to be blaming Simon, saying that HE IS getting rid of who HE wants when that's not the case at all. If he'd saved Lucie, yeah he would have been saving the most talented but he would also have been saving the least popular. |

But Olly, Jamie and to be honest as good as he is Joe won't have any success in America and Danyl i'm not sure about but he won't win cause he's been bottom 2. Where Lucie could be big in America if she goes down the whole rock-pop thing cause that kind of music is huge over there

They'll get the christmas #1 They'll release 2 singles a year later & an album that will do 'fine'. They will fade into obscurity & as X Factor 2011 starts & they'll show clips of Leona, Alex & Shayne winning, with Simon stating 'Anything can happen on this show' & they will be no where to be seen. |

It is because there is no successful male winner in his eyes that he wants one. He thought he had found one in Danyl, I am not sure whether he is backtracking or not on that one. The problem with any of his acts is that they can't just be pop artists, or they could but wouldn't succeed, imo. He would have to find, or let them have, material with some character, and it would be a first if Syco managed it. Umm, it will be interesting to see what comes out of this show.. |

I see your point about Lucie. I think there could be an audience for Joe but they seem to be at a loss as to how to handle a young male winner. Anyway, I had a theory on why Simon so wanted a male winner this year - and a big performer as well as at least competent vocalist at that - but I'm not so sure now. |
