'Joke' death threat for John and Edward

Reported in today's Daily Star

In spite of the source, it is actually true.

The threat came from a nightclub DJ.

His name is Pete Williams, aged 24.

He lives with his mother in Wallasey, Merseyside.

He launched a Facebook page with the title:

IF 1MILLION PEOPLE JOIN THIS GROUP I WILL KILL JOHN N EDWARD

Facebook shut down his page.

On his main Facebook page he now claims that it was all a joke, and he offers to say sorry to J&E if one million people sign up.

According to The Star:

But at the red-brick terrace he shares with his mum in Wallasey, Merseyside, last night he laughed: “Caused offence? That’s f***ing hilarious!”

In a separate article, they report:

JOHN and Edward were under 24-hour guard last night after serious threats on the internet.
A twisted X Factor fan threatened the spiky-haired pair, urging a million people to join his Facebook hate group.
A TV source said: “We cannot be too careful.”
The Facebook page, set up anonymously, is called: “If 1million people join this group, I will **** John and Edward.”

Surely this should go beyond Facebook merely shutting down Mr. Williams' death threat page?

The police should pay a visit and, at the very least, have a little chat with Mr. Williams about how serious it is to issue public death threats.

I swear...I dont understand these people we had 100% the same in the Big brother protest..some nutter went and sent death threats to the bosses..

I love Xfactor but I also know where the off button is..that should be enough for anyone.

and yes these things are being taken more serious by the police now (thank goodness)

Wallasey is on the Wirral, it's not in Liverpool. Get your facts straight, or you'll just seriously embarrass yourself again by showing your ignorance.

I think your post is what is called a massive fail.

Scouse is the accent and dialect of English found in the city of Liverpool, and in some adjoining urban areas of Merseyside. The variety of Scouse spoken on The Wirral is often known as Posh Scouse due to several differences in speech patterns and pronunciation, as are variations found in the new town areas of Runcorn and Skelmersdale.

Let me know how you get on in your geography GCSE sonny

so the STAR got his address and got round there last night and he said that to them did he?

Never believe anything you read in the papers.

Seriously people need to get a grip. Even in jest. MP's expenses, boy soldiers being brought home in boxes, unemployment and repossession and people get there knickers in a twist about X factor.

I couldn't agree more!

Trouble is, there are some real-life sickos out there, and a 24 year old DJ living with his mammy seems like a good candidate.

I would imagine even this kind of wacko threat obliges the show's producers to beef up security - just in case.
They should send the bill to Mr. Williams of Wallasey!

Point 1) I'm not a man, and a little old to still be in school.

Point 2) I'm from Liverpool. I am a Scouser. An accent doesn't not a Scouser make. I mean, I can do an Irish accent, but it doesn't make me Irish.

Oh, and copy and pasting text directly from Wikipedia.....not helping your case.

Had I said "ay,ay,ay.....you've gotta love them crazy MERSEYSIDERS, it might have lost some comedic content, whilst being geographically correct.
The fact that this moron could spit to liverpool across the mersey from mummy's house in Wallasey is, from a location standpoint, adequate enough for me, but thanks for the corrections

Just one last correction for you. Wallasey is NOT Mersyside. The correct postcode is Wallasey, Wirral, Cheshire. CH.. ... So it seems it's a fail all round.

I have no chip on my shoulder, my dear. Just pointing out your mistakes.

But I seem to have touched a nerve. Did you think no-one would notice? That would be embarrassing. I sympathise with your predicament.

As a Londoner, I'm not sure I give a rat's arse. But at least your geography lesson will ensure that I programme Wallasey, Wirral, Cheshire.....AVOID in my sat nav.

No sympathy required.....empathy perhaps.
I was tempted to point out your many spelling and grammatical mistakes, but I thought it would be pedantic and particularly pointless, "you is wot you is", if you get my drift.
Shame you chose not to do likewise with your geography lesson.

Have I touched a raw nerve with you? You wouldn't happen to be a 24 year old DJ living at home with mum in Wallasey, would you?.........just a thought.
