I honestly don't think I will be watching next week. I thought I would but I doubt it

Now I know it's a publicity stunt, the show is a farce for a good laugh but after last night it has all left a bitter taste in my mouth. I really can't see the faux-seriousness of it and all I see is a charade now. I knew there was a charade before but now it's just all appearing as manipulation so I can't even take it as a laugh either.

I guess it will be a case of Strictly and Casualty (the paramedic is being stalked in that) and then Come Dine With Me.

Will probably turn over at 8:45 for the results on Sunday night just before the winner of Come Dine With Me is announced.

I understand what you mean OP, I know you'll get a lot of slating for posting from people happy with the result; but it does seem such a farce that Simon clearly chooses ratings over talent, which has just left a bitter taste in my mouth, I'm not even angry but I just don't care as the show is ruined, I really hope I can get over it seeing as I've been an avid follower since day one

Of course he does - it's an entertainment show. He can sign any acts he wants to afterwards.

It is odd isn't it. I can grasp if he chose something where a creative slant would give ratings but this is just silly - it's gone too far.

Does it really make sense to lose somebody who can sing and has a chance of making it big (since she is young and can be moulded) for the sake of humiliation and exploitation?

It's difficult to fathom. I understand he wants publicity and exposure but this is just pathetic how low he falls.

You can watch what you want. Do you really need to start a thread about it?

Question: Did you vote for Lucie last week?

Jealous indeed. Opinions cannot be 'defeated' - they are just personal views.

I think opinions can be defeated. I am a professional opinion defeater.

SCD is great, I always Sky Plus it though, cos I watch XF. And Sky Plussing it means I can skip through Brucie's waffle.

A professional opinion defeater, no less, how very impressive. So, who employs you to do this, and how much do you earn professionally defeating opinions, and whose opinions? Anyone's but your own, that's not opinions, dear, that's masturbation.

You have to hand it to this care-in-the-community r'tard, though folks, he came along started a thread and we actually responded to him as if he had something worth saying. This is in all likelihood the first time anyone's responded to one of his opinions, outside of a professional context, of course.

So, good luck with that kab, now run along.

I'll watch as long as Dannii is a judge. If she isn't then I'm not watching.

I probably will too to be honest, however I think the show is tired, too obviously scripted and manipulated and even more blatantly focussed at pulling in ratings than finding real talent.

Using words like "doubt" and "don't think" doesn't really further a conversation/opinion. And then to say you'll watch the end of the results proves that you in fact will will watch.

Should we just wait to see if you do and then converse because at the moment it looks more likely you will.....

BTW I'm annoyed at the whole debacle but just don't understand the point of the thread really......

I'm a massive fan of the show but all of the remaining acts suck imo. I'm wondering if it really worth me watching it.

Great thread.

Will the sequel detail your breakfast rituals on Sundays?
