You see? And people thought Jedward had ruined her chances of stardom and greatness...

Wow... going from prime time TV to Stockport is quite a fall.

It would be like Sinitta getting done by Johnny Vegas.

Let's see 'the fans' spin this as an 'A list engagement'.Next stop the 'OK' Christmas party..........
A shame they didn't bother voting on Saturday isn't it?

Lucie's probably achieved more in her 18 years than any of these snidey posters have or ever will.

Who needs that £1m recording contract when there are gigs like this to go for?

Lady, you have truly hit the big time...just don't sing while you do it, there's a love.

A source close to Lucie said, "It was a question of picking between Vegas, the Brit Awards, the Albert Hall gig, and switching on the Christmas lights at Stockport. After advice from her agent, she went for the big one."

"The sky's the limit now," commented Lucie. "I can just see Simon's face when he hears the news."

Will all the people from the most famous village on the planet be there to cheer her on in brand new 'I support Lucie and her magic finger' t.shirts?

Ooh let me see.

Auditioned along with what 200,000 others at a guess and makes the final cut.

Appears on the biggest show on TV atm with 15m viewing figs.

Gets the nation in uproar when she's voted off.

Front page of most of todays papers.

If rumours are to believed offers for West End theatre and a movie.

Enough for yer.

It is a matter of perspective, is it not?

Achievement comes in many forms...I am the father to beautiful twin boys of ten, when it was a distinct possiblility that at once stage I may never have children. I went to university at the age of 31, with a mortgage and family to support and came out with a first class honours degree. I contribute hours of unpaid charity work alongside my demanding full time job, which also gives me an enormous sense of achievement in seeing the difference I can make to those less fortunate.

I could go on, as many others could, but hopefully the sense of proportion can be taken onboard. Out of the two of us - myself and Lucie Jones - I'm kind of pleased I am me right now after you outlined her 'achievements'.

Yeah I'm delighted for you.

Sounds like millions of others.

How many millions have made it through to the X Factor finals?

It's about perspective like you say.

They go on next Monday - so it's a bit late notice. No idea who we've actually got.
