As unusual as it may be to agree with slappers and neelia - hear hear" Wish everybody would move on. Exactly the same last year with Laura.

People are just so used to getting what they want these days they will throw a tantrum and call ofcom when their favourite gets voted out. Everyone knows it was not a fix, Simon Cowell just made an unpopular decision the same as when Louis voted out Maria in series 2 and kept the Conway sisters. BTW why is everyone so up in arms about Lucie now when she was hardly even mentiond before she was voted out.

Must of the posts I've read are not up in arms about Lucie, there are annoyed because Simon slated an every week saying that they shouldn't be there and then copped out of making a decsion when he could have voted them out. It is imaterial who was the other act, unless it was one he had slated as consistently |

We had all this last year when Laura went out, the kiddies who don't get their own way start stamping and screaming.
She got the lowest votes, can't people get that? J & E are more popular with the public than she was and I am not surprised, she is an average singer who was totally boring, so is Joe, so is Lloyd, so is Stacy, Danyl at least brings some interest with him, Olly is the twins but with a better voice and Jamie for some reason is only firing on two cylinders because Simon is holding him back, probably because he has chosen the winners song with Danyl in mind. |

I'm sorry but the reason people are complaining all the time is because the producers are going too far, exactly like they did on BB. This is what I've been saying all series, it gets viewers in the short term but it alienates part of the audience and ultimately destroys the show. Angry viewers are not good in the long-term. Seems blindingly obvious that to me but still.
Voting drops off and becomes erratic and influenced by the betting market and producer manipulations. It probably won't be lack of viewers that does it here, it will be Cowell's ego once he can't rig it anymore. Good luck trying it in America Simon. And I didn't complain about this and I love John and Edward, which is why I'm annoyed at the way they are being used. EDIT - I'm not sure what Ofcom are meant to do about this but they won't investigate anyway so nevermind. |

Jedward will be dumped when it suits Simon, not before. They are the victims here, they are the one getting all the hate the furore causes. Their faces on Sunday said it all. |

Only because Simon decided to put it to the public vote. That is how he expressed it. Not voting to save the twins but voting to put it to the public.

Whilst agreeing with the OP up to a point, I don't believe it is the "moaners and whingers" that are killing the XFactor. Rather, it seems to me, it is down to the ridiculous circus that it is turning into.
Aside from the sometimes questionable decisions and general antics of the panel, the show has become incredibly over produced, with mass backing singers and unnecessary dancers prancing about distracting from the actual performances of the contestants. On top of that, the audience this year is more irritating than usual, with their incessant cheering, hooting, clapping and general din, both during the performances and the judges talking. For these reasons, I honestly think that the XFactor has now virtually passed its sell-buy date and certainly seems to be going down a very similar path to BB. It really wouldn't bother me at all if this were to be the last series. ![]() Nonetheless, I still watch the show as it brings a bit of frivolous escapism into my life each week. If any programme seriously offends me, I simply switch over to watch something else. Complaining to Ofcom would go against my principles and I don't know if it would really achieve anything worthwhile. |

But Simon did exactly what he said he would do which was determine his response based on the sing-off with each act (and he's never been a huge fan of Lucie's either) receiving a clean slate - following the 2 performances, both of which had merits and flaws of a different nature but equal in measure, he was left ambivalent and unable to decide... what would you have had him do - become a hypocrite and suddenly reverse the clean slate?
