Its odd.. I watch Lucie..

singing My Funny Valentine/Sweet Child of Mine/This is me and I think heres a girl whos got a load of talent, can sing, can own the stage and could go far.

I watch Jedward and to be honest they're just awful. They cannot sing, they cannot dance and the only reason they're "entertaining"(per-leaseeeeeeeeeeee) is because of those awful backing dancers..

Simon made it obvious last night, he cares about the money and the ratings. Not the talent. Idiot. <3

It's odd...I watch Lucie and think average/good voice but very boring, bland not somebody I'd like to see perform every week.

I then watch John and Edward and laugh, enjoy each performance, enjoy their enthusiasm and just have fun watching their wacky, weird and unpredictable performances.

It's weird having opinions isn't it?

Simon cares about his show. What did Lucie bring exactly?

It's odd because I watched Lucie's performances and it was like watching Stars In Their Eyes. Lucie does Avril, Lucie does Miley etc etc. Nothing original there, and her sing off song wasn't only dire but had been done better many times before.

At least John and Edward are unique, even if they are crap.

Loved Ghostbusters on Saturday night but not because of John and Edward who gave their worst peformance to date but because of the apperance of the marshmallow man, john and edward are not entertaining it's the production crew who come up with the idea who are the reason it's entertaining

That's what I think, too.

Whoever thought it out made the mistake of thinking if they give her Avril hair, we would be thick enough to think she had Avril's presence. She didn't. The voice was hugely average - if you want evidence watch back ehr sing off performance - see how she wimps out dropping the big note near the end an octave. Precisely what she did a couple of weeks ago (or rather, what she was advised to do, given the limitations of her voice). They knew damn well she couldn't hit notes out of a very narrow range and were re-arranging everything she sang to accomodate the fact.

Styling her to look like other people signalled the fact she had no character of her own.

She was at the top of her game, dull and almost competent.

I watch Lucie and think gee up girl your supposed to be an entertainer.

And it's not just a singing competition, it's about finding someone with the X Factor. Madge, Robbie, Britney..couldn't carry a tune in a bucket but they are entertaining.

You're probably overstating Lucie's ability a bit though, for a start, she had a tendency to be pitchy, and quite a limited range, and any song she did had to be arranged to suit her..and as we saw with this is me and sweet child of mine it didn't work.

I thought both of those songs really suited her actually. So I guess it comes down to opinions. Yep Yep.

Listening to it again, I can see what he meant, there wasn't much in the way of emotion, and there was an off-key moment in there too.

This is me was kind of awful though, not in a, she can't sing way, just in a this is so dull I might fall asleep way.

And I watch Oops... I Did It Again, She Bangs, We Will Rock You Ghostbusters, and Rock DJ (survival version) and think "I love these guys" whilst feeling happy, inbetween fits of laughter.

Lucie did very little for me, indeed.

It's all swings and roundabouts.

No, I absolutely can't agree with the bit in bold. Lucie didn't own the stage. IMO she had no stage presence or performance charisma at all and I doubt that's 'learnable'. Look at Christina Aguilera at her age. All charisma and sexual energy. Lucie didn't have 'the x factor'. The only 2 so far who I see with that are Olly and Daniel, neither of whom I want to win.

Lucie always seemed self-conscious to me, like a girl from a small village on a stage far too big for her talent.

It's the same with her voice: despite being pitch perfect it was very thin, particularly in the higher range. I also didn't like the way she enunciated her words as she sang; there was a lack of polish and finesse there. She sounded young and regional and I couldn't see where she'd go: not soulful enough to be the diva, not edgy or funky enough to be the young popstrel.

A voice that was the best in the competition , that is what she brought, boring maybe but not more boring than Leona.

She was a threat to Danyl and Jamie in a sing off, FACT
end of.

I think she had sufficient talent to show John and Edward up in the sing off, but chose a song that was too big for her. It showed up the weakness in her voice. Had she accepted she is no where near a Whitney voice and picked a song more suited to her she might have made it more difficult for Simon to not vote for her and might still be there.
