Comet returns

Got a fax machine not recieving faxes anymore and seeing it is only 10 months old, I am going to return it to Comet.
What does Comet usually do for such small items? replace it instantly or send it off for repair? never had to use them for faulty goods before....
Thanks.

I can't offer any advice, I'm afraid; just trying to summon up the invisible opening post.

Disappointed this thread isn't about a notable astronomical event.

If you've a problem with a product we'll do everything we can to help.

For a start all our electrical products come with a minimum of 12 months manufacturer's guarantee, so if your product breaks within that time we'll repair it for free. And if we can't repair it for any reason we'll give you a full refund or offer you an alternative product - it's up to you.

i would recommend calling them first before bowling up.

with some equipment they ask you to call the manufacturer. i had a huge row with them a couple of years ago and insisted they accept the faulty item at the store.

in retrospect i would have had it replaced more quickly if i'd just gone along with the system.
