Software Update for Humax Foxsat-HD

Has anyone else noticed that there is a software update for the Foxsat-HD starting today, the new version will be 1.00.23, from 1.00.15.
I have not been able to get it yet, probably too early.
Ralph.

You can download it from Humax right now and install it now via USB

Installed both Loader update and Software update. No problems and I can now delete while recording. No sign of the iPlayer though!

Was working ok for me when I tried a few minutes ago after upgrading.

The menus and EPG seem to be faster and more responsive now, just need iplayer to show up now.

The loader can only be upgraded by usb and the firmware isn't available OTA until after 4:00pm

Thanks MicroSmurf. I have a suspicion as to whats causing it, though I'm in the process of trying something else unrelated at the moment, so we'll see in ten or so minutes.

I can get neither to install.

Followed the instructions to the letter, but I don't get the download progress screen they have pictured. All I get is the Humax start up screen (with U7.22 in the bottom corner for the previous loader version) and a 'spinning' oblong on the front display, the same as when powering the box up, but nothing happens after that. I left it a good half hour before deciding to power off and then on again. Doing this had no ill effect, thankfully.

I'll try the loader again after the firmware has been sent, as long as that goes as it should. An update from Sagem for PVR/DVR boxes failed yesterday, and now the one for my Humax. Am I right in thinking the drive needs to be formatted to FAT32?

I had the same problem doing the update, I think the box is very sensitive to what USB sticks you can use, it took me 4 attempts on 4 different USB sticks before I got one to work otherwise I got the same as you where it just sticks on the Humax screen.

Typical, I only have the one.

I'll have to see if I can scrounge a couple of others off friends or family.

Working fine for me, you do not have another receiver that is taking control of the LNB per chance?

For example HDR still switched on?

This update seems to have lost me all the verticals on 2 A and B, for example CNN and S4C have disappeared.

This may also explain why some people are having trouble with the BBC sports multscreen?

Don't think it's my LNB as the verticals are ok on Eurobird and 2 D. I have a quad LNB with a sky digibox on one of the other ports and that's working fine on all verticals.

Corrigap

PS Forgot to mention that I've done a factory reset.

No problems at all for me, fortunately, but I've only got the new 1.00.23, not the new Loader (I did mine OTA and it isn't available yet). Have those of you with issues downloaded both the software and the loader from the website?

That's a shame - I was looking for a "what" then hoping to consider "why": But the "what" is "not".

After OAD...

No Sports Multiscreen
No Non Freesat mode, after a factory reset to try and get the Multiscreen back.

when you do a factory reset you need to perform a manual tune this then gives you the option of switching between freesat and non-freesat mode. Note after doing manual rescan the box will be in non-freesat mode by default.
