Call their children ridiculous names..................

Dye their hair blonde when they are black................

Do drugs................................

Allow themselves to be papped: drunk, knickerless, naked, fat, or stuffing food in their mouths...

Wear inappropriate clothing......

Insist on showing their nipples when they are already photogenic and attractive and don't need to stoop to chavy titillation....

Well, it's not just celebrities who do most of those things.

But in respect of people allowing themselves to be papped in a less than dignified positions...a lot of these people have paps following them around constantly, and they're bound to get caught out in an unflattering pose from time to time. A bigger question for me is why do these people become celebrities in the first place? I mean, why exactly is Kerry Katona (who seems to get a lot of these types of photos of her) a celebrity? What exactly does she contribute to the world of showbusiness? I'm using her as an example, but there are tons of others.

I think the pictures of people shoving food in their mouths though, are just cruel - along with those pictures that magazines show of stars looking a bit rough on their day off.

The reason that already attractive celebrities show their nipples etc., is because it gains them more publicity.

But I've never been papped drunk and knickerless - or if I was I don't remember. And I'm fairly sure my OH has never made a sex tape starring me. But I could be wrong. And as I'n not remotely famous(apart from being BFF's with Snit)who would be interested anyway?

Most of the black artistes that you see with blonde hair (Mary J, Beyonce, Tyra et al) have blonde weaves/lacefronts. This is not their real hair.
It's definitely a pet peeve of mine. Although, they have choices, it just looks ultra wrong. And before anybody excuses me of being 'mean', I'm a black woman and I hate seeing black women with weaves and blonde weaves at that *shuddering*

I don't accept most celebs are constantly being followed by photographers and therefore what they do gets into the press.

How many times have you seen a celeb 'dating' another celeb, then rolling out to be snapped and both celebs and the club have the same publicists.

How many times has a celeb claimed there is nothing they can do to prevent the photographers, but with a very simple statement Jeff Brazier showed how it works.

Ok. I'll retract my blanket and lazy generalisation.

Some celebs do some of the above sometimes for attention. But generally, all those things, as another poster has already pointed out, are just ordinary everyday things that people do, apart from the drunk, knickerless one which is the preserve of the plain old desperate attention-seeker.

Also, you do need to make a distinction between the talentless fame-whores and those most people would regard as proper celebs - ie. people with a talent and a purpose. That would exclude all the knickerless ones for starters. Apart from that one, there's nothing particularly unusual about any of the other activities you describe. Not to me anyway.

No, I take your point, but for instance there are constantly paps around Jordan/Peter Andre at the moment. When Britney was having her meltdown, there were paps everywhere. That's the kind of thing I was saying.

1) Because someone in that household has a severe lack of discretion.

2.) Because someone has failed to tell them "I don't think that's a good idea"
