Another RT Doctor Who cover.

Didn't think we'd see The Waters Of Mars getting the front cover of the Radio Times in Children In Need week but it has

There's also a feature inside that mentions the xmas episodes and
spoiler:
"'The Master's return is just the start of our biggest, most heart-breaking story yet. The Immortality Gate is waiting,' he concludes cryptically, 'and beyond that... the tenth Doctor faces the greatest terror of all.'"

I'm guessing Immortality gate mean some sort of afterlife for Time Lord consciousness?????

also TV and Satelitte week have a feature and lovely Ten close up cover -love that Gadget has been included

and interesting cover for Total TV Guide -beautiful cover and I am wondering why they've included a Dalek. I don't want to read the last two features -want to save them till I have the mags ..

Immortality Gate -very curious .A little disappointed because i'd hoped that was a Gallifrey reference.I don't think this means the Doctor will be left immortal -don't think the viewers would want him sharing the fate of Jack ...must be something else i'm thinking but what I don't know ..

It could still be a Gallifrey reference. I'd love it if the Immortality Gate were either the literal Time Lord hideyhole a la Genesis Ark or a portal to a place where they've all been secretly waiting. That would be crippling to the Doctor - finding out that they'd planned to bottle it all along and leave him alone with the guilt of his final solution. The last five years of adventures with him suffering survivor guilt would be put into an interesting perspective and it would still leave the Doctor isolated despite the Time Lords being back on the scene as he would feel betrayed and abandoned by them.

Better yet, have the Tenth Doctor's final act as him slamming the "Gate" on the Time Lords leaving them trapped in some decaying limbo rather than helping them back into the normal universe. That way the chance of them returning is even easier to write back into the plot should Mr Moff so desire it.

Hehe, just noticed the symbol (SB6, as in Sanctuary Base 6, from 'The Impossible Planet').

Nice little nod to the shows past

RE: Immortality Gate

This wiki article mentions Rassilon, and him discovering Immortality - if this is cannon, could he have rescued all the Timelords from the Time war?

Does the RT give WoM a favourable review?

I know, I know...I'll go into town and buy it myself...

From the trailer, it looks like The Doctor is wearing the suit when he first lands the TARDIS on Mars, and walks across the surface. It seems that he simply kept the suit after The Satan Pit!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

spoiler:
Rasslon's discovery is indeed canon! and, in the five drs, they were pretty vague as to whether rassilon was dead or not,

so anything's plausible...!

No reason why not - it certainly crossed my mind having read the above interview and what I then read online.

What in the interview indicated that?

nothing on it's own - just tying a phrase used in the interview with what I read elsewhere and putting 2 and 2 together.

I already said what it was earlier in spoilers. I've left it as a spoiler because seeing the RT cover itself isn't necessarily a spoiler, but RTD's comments about the specials mentions something that we've previously heard mentioned "The gate is coming", but not by it's full name, which RTD reveals in the interview.

It's the introduction of this new word that is interesting...
