Can't get ITV HD on Updated Samsung box

We've had our updated epg for our Samsung box and have tried to programme in Itv hd.

I've followed the instructions I've found on here and there is a tick next to the channel on the screen. But when I go through to view the channel, there is nothing listed.

I have waited till something is being showed in HD but there is nothing there.

Where have I gone wrong?

Have you pressed Select after pressing the yellow button to add the channel?

There's always something there. If it's not a programme it's a 'currently unavailable' caption.

PIN access only?

I have managed to get it working (after Collision finished last night, urghh), that pesky double select!!

Meanwhile, does everyone have to put in their PIN to view ITV HD?

I've macro'd the RC sequence but am stymied by the need to enter the PIN. I don't want to turn off PIN controls elsewhere - 12 year old son!!. So is there a work around?

Yeah I pressed select.

If I go back in to store it again, the tick next to the channel is still there showing that it has been done correctly, it's just not showing up in "other channels"

Not sure why you would need a PIN for ITV HD as most progs are simulcast with ITV1 so would be subject to ITV programme time slots and warnings per OFCOM. I assume you have added your own PIN configuration which is coming into play on all your viewing preferences, or rather what you think your son might "like" to view! The pre-watershed PIN settings really only comes into play on Sky Movie channels so adults can watch adult films at any time. Turn off your PIN controls and trust your son - the automatic PIN's come into play on movie channels for everyone.

If you have any parental controls on, you have to enter a PIN to view channels stored in Other Channels.

It's purely because the content of any added channels could be of an adult nature.

I've just tried that and it's there, hooray.

Before pressing this nothing was on the display but it is now.

Many thanks for your help
