Will this "backlash" happen?
I'm not so sure, the following is a dead cert judging by the reaction on here/press/public
> Jedward will come last in public vote but Simon gets rid of them this time > Simon's acts end up in the bottom two. While i would love this to happen, i just don't think the bosses would let this happen. |

Backlash against the twins?
Doubtful in terms of the show and them going next week. As many people have pointed out, the X-Factor is a business therefore they do what is in the best interests of that business. Jedward remaining has people constantly talking about the show, SC loves it and the twins. Expect people to tune in, in their droves next weekend and for another shocker. I'm still predicting a Jamie versus Danyl show down. Although I'm not convinced like I was yesterday that Danyl will get the boot. But I still believe he's been nothing but cannon fodder for Mr Big. |

While I think one of Simons acts is very talented, I would like to see 2 of them in the bottom two or voted off simply because Simon deserves it. The show has become more about the competition between the judges rather than the contestants!

There will be no backlash being realistic.
It will be business as usual. In the spirit of the thread, if there is any fallout I would not be surprised to see Danyl back in the Bottom 2 . Lloyd & The Twins are the most likely Bottom 2 candidates being realistic though. |

How can people wish anyone to be voted off just because Cowell is there mentor? and because they support another artist! it gets more stupid every day.

I'm gonna do my best to irritate Simon Cowell. Not watch the programme and vote for the Twins. I hate them before but after his game playing i have decided that the best way of hurting Simon is to reduce viewing figures and leave him with a ridiculous act to sing his winners song. Hopefully leading to very poor sales.

Oathy,
Cowell knows he has to lose an act eventually, and Jamie Archer & Danyl Johnson are the two most likely to go. Better now, as part of his "penance", Archer he's not invested in and the fallout between the two is painful to a control freak such as Cowell. Johnson is the fallen golden boy, Cowell knows that he won't win and is a difficult sell to the public, especially given the huge bad press. There is no backlash, FFS, it's just losing an act he's no longer 100% invested in, this way he loses the act, acts like it's a slap on the wrist and warms up for Olly winning and at the very least making it to the final. And best of all the moneymakers, sorry I mean the twins, live to fight another day brining in all that lovely filthy advertising lucre, filling up all those lovely column inches and keeping the show a media success de scandale. It's a simple matter of business quid pro quo - why's everyone getting their knickers in a twist? |

If you're talking about a backlash against Jedward,it appears to be well underway.Bottom 2 in the public vote and the booing and heckling louder than ever.

I actually think there will be more of a backlash towards Simon rather than the twits. In fact, I think the twits will top the public vote this week and at least one of Simons acts will be in the bottom two.
I'd love Danni to have the deciding vote in that scenario..... |

IMO it's always been about the judges, with the contestants playing a secondary role.

If its one of his acts/+ another..I think its safe to say the worse is over. when i spoke about backlash I think it would be really clear if say jamie/Danyl were in the bottom or even ollie. thats what I mean by a backlash something really out of blue. |

I suspect Simon might use the twins to knock out a popular act. Lloyd's a goner in any case, but SC seems to want Stacey out. He'll have to lose one of his own soon as it's starting to look suspect.
ETA: Stacey may well benefit from Lucie's votes, keeping her in a bit longer. |

I think either Jamie or Danyl would have been in the bottom 2 sooner or later even if Simon had voted out the twins/Lloyd.

Jamie seems to be rebelling against Cowell so that might save him, Olly could be bottom 2 cause people thought he was safe

Why should Olly, Jamie or Danyl suffer just because Simon is their mentor?

I'd be hugely surprised if Lloyd lasted much longer because he's not likely to pick up many transfer votes. Same thing happened to Eoghan last year. I never said it was about singing talent.

well I love Jamie and will support him after the show if he releases anything (dont think he is going to win) but I will not vote for him after Simons blatant money grabbing antics of keeping the twins in, because after all the more publicity and votes cast the more money for Cowell
