Sky+HD planner fault

Hi all

Today when I turned on my sky HD box. I tried to watch a programme I recorded yesterday but every time I select it, it says "End of Programme" and when tried again it says "Start of Programme" it wont play the programme. Some of the other recordings on the planner wont play either, Some will play but others wont.

any ideas what's wrong or what I can do to fix it

Also it is now failing to record programmes. The record light does not come on. although the record symbol is displayed on the tv itself. The programme shows in my planner as failed "technical fault"

Try a planner rebuild - Services, 4 0 1 Select and then Planner Rebuild from the hidden installers menu.
Sounds like you have a corrupt file allocation table, or perhaps your disk is on the way out.
Backup and restore or copy to another drive with Copy+ may also help if you really need to keep your recordings.

Hi thanks for your advice. The planner rebuild fixed the problem with not being able to record.

The previously recorded programmes still wont play. Do you suggest a restore? How do I go about starting that?

and will I lose the new guide with restore?

thanks
