Maybe they should revive Seaside Special from the 70's as that's where Olly would fit right in.

Honestly, the show has failed if a bloke who reminds many of us of an estate agent doing karaoke is the best winner they can find.

Olly hasn't once made me go wow all series. Well, maybe his first audition, but he's been really disappointing so far. And surely when it comes to singing ballads, which he'll have to do in the final, he'll look really weak.

Olly seems to have a following but it's a shame if it means that the eventual winner is him.

Olly may be good family entertainment value for the viewers sat at home on a Saturday night, but as a valid recording artist he will soon run out of steam.

His kind of 'schoolboyish charm' will wear thin very quickly. I also believe that he is someone who will enjoy fame a bit too much and to his detriment. Only my opinion.

I like Olly - don't know why people think he is only in this for the 'fame' he said himself he is passionate about singing and it's something he has wanted to do his whole life - tbh i don't think people on this forum really like any of the people on the show this year.

Most of the posts about all the acts go something like this:

Olly - only in it for the fame
Danyl - confident cocky etc etc
Jamie - Boring, wannabe rocker
Stacey - fake
Joe - Stage school
J&E- no talent, just two clowns who shouldn't be their because it is a singing comp
Lloyd - only their on his looks

Olly has a good singing voice, a likable personality and is very consistent with his performances. He has been given bad performing slots, questionable song choices and some fashion disasters yet, in spite of all this, he still seems to me to be a good deal better than the rest.

For those of you who think he doesn't deserve to win because he is boring, average or doesn't make you go wow can you please enlighten me as to who you do think deserves to win this year and why? The reason I ask is because, apart from Olly, I find all the other contestants that are left a mixture of bland or painful to listen to.

Your nickname could sum up Olly so far on the show even though he wasn't even alive in the 70s there is nothing modern sounding about him wheever that's his fault or Simon's I don't know but if he wants to get airplay on radio 1 etc he needs an image change and fast

Jamie stuck in the 70s? aren't you forgetting he peformed Sex On Fire in his audition and I expect that his sing off song

This surely is the point though. If Olly was a stand alone singer/performer who was capable of singing songs a bit more challenging than he has thus far, then he might be more deserving of a win based on talent.

I believe he's been given the songs that he has simply because they are within in his limited capabilities. To a degree he is in a time warp musically and I just feel it's all very shallow with no substance at all.
