Harry Potter films on Sky

Not really an advice thread but....

A few months ago I thought I would start watching the Harry Potter films ( never had before as they are so long and didnt really have time)

I have sky + so recorded the first one and watched it.

For about the last 7 weeks I have been checking all the films on sky movies and the only Harry Potter films showing are the first one and The Order of the Phoenix.

Does anyone know why this is cos its really bugging me lol

Because they don't play the films in order? Sky movie channels rarely play any serial films unless they are making a big event of it. They just re-run the same film until it wears out (or so it seems).

Although, the DVD of the 6th film is out soon so it is possible channels (not just sky) will be playing the others and I should think at least a few will be played over Chrimbo.

Just keep looking out for them as I know they have shown at least 2 of the others at various times .

You can use the red button on the movie channels and do a search to find out quickly when it's next on (unless this is what your doing already!)

The main problem is that Sky wont have the rights to show all of the films in a series at a specific time.

Channel 4 had the rights to show Saw 1,2 and 3 just before Halloween while Sky had the rights to Saw 4 and 5.

That meant that Sky couldn't do a marathon of the films.

I was wondering why I couldn't find Saw 4 and 5 on channel 4. Didn't think that another channel would show them. I recorded the first three on V+ hoping to watch the first 5 before we went to see the 6th and only got 3 so ended up deleting them.
