The McQueen Sisters (Hollyoaks) - Soaps

Is it just me or have they become boring.

I love the McQueens so it annoys me that they have become one trick ponies.

Jacqui; Always gets a new man and then throws him out for a stupid reason before finally getting back with him to do it again.

Mercedes; (My favourite character) is in one word a slut. Is making her have affairs and cheat with her sisters boyfriends/husbands all the writing team can come up with?

Carmel; Can be funny, but i hate how they try to push her down out throats as the funniest thing ever. All her storylines revolve around her being dumb or trying to save the village.

Tina; Was boring but likeable as the odd one out. but soon became a true McQueen by having an affair, which is just so out of character. They then made her really dislikeable and then killed her.

Michela(sp?); Why is she there? I like her but she is just a younger Carmel with a mix of Jacqui's anger.

i know she is not a sister but i will include her anyways.

Theresa(sp?); is the only McQueen to actually stay the same character but seem remotely likeable and believable, i know plenty of teenagers who act like she does.

So basically what im trying to say is, Should some of them McQueens call it a day or should they just get a personality change?

I love the mcqueens, prob my fav all time Hollyoaks family, we need to see more of myra tho, she has being very underused all year

I felt so sorry for Thereasa, when she spoke about her life with her mum.

And he mum's coming into it this mounth isn't she.

Michaela and Myra are my favourites, they completly killed the McQueens with the Niall storyline which should have been fab but was just a disaster from start to finish. They haven't recovered.

I like them but I hate it when they fall out with people for no reason. Carmel is a bit annoying and Mercedes can be awful in what she does but generally I like them

I have never liked this family all of them are as dull as dish water, I am just thankfull that John Paul is no longer in the show I just wish he had taken the rest of his dreadful family with him when he left!.

Myra is the only one worth anything now.
Michaela is getting tiresome with her relationship with Zak.
Mercedes is reverting to her old habits again.
Jacqui has been totally ruined and turned into a nasty cow.
While St Careml is so bogged down in increasingly lame "comedy" storylines she is well past her sell by date..

I personally rate meredes and carmel highly, jacqui, tina and theresa ok, just michaela I cant stand. yeah myra has been barely seen, maybe nicole barber lane has been busy doing other work. Just hope Nana doesnt return

Mercedes became my fave when her and Malachy got together and got married but the show have just ruined her character now, her and Malachy had something good going on and i don't think she would have cheated on him and especially not with Calvin. Worst storyline at the minute, a lot of fans are angry with this.

Carmel i love, her and Calvin were so sweet together, another great couple that HO has to go and fvck up.

Wish we saw more of Myra.

The rest i can take or leave.

Jacqui and Carmel (although I hate that Jacqui seems to have reverted to being a rough, hard bitch since they split her from Tony) are my favourites out of them all, but I agree we need more Myra.

I actually think Michaela is much funnier than Carmel. Jacqui and her croaky voice and cliched 'man hating' bores me now. Like the other night when she is caught stealing from the salon, but then having a go at her boyfriend.

I really like the Mcqueen sisters including Theresa. I am not sure if i like the current storeyline with Mercy & Calvin, as somebody has stated previously i agree. I really liked Mercy when she got with Malachy. An i couldn't see her cheating on him!

Also wished Calvin & Carmel would get back together i really liked them together

I do wish Jaqui would get a happy storey though! I'm not keen on her being miserable

Maybe putting mercedes and calvin together could be something to do with mal's hiv storyline???
Im gutted they are doing this because Mercedes and Mal as a couple are brill, it will certanly cause some friction between Carmel and Mercedes too!

Not mad on Teresa either, she gets way too much screen time as does anita IMO
Some of michaela and Carmels scenes are cringey but i like both of them

I really hate Mercedes cheating on Mal. They were the best soap couple - really bought out the goodness in each other. It is so unrealistic that Mercedes would mess about on him and with Calvin of all people.

So, yes, agree with the OP that they are just one-trick ponies now: Mercedes is the trollop, Jacqui the hard-faced man-hater, Carmel is sanctimonious to really irritating level and Michaela's whole relationship with Zak is dull, dull, dull.

I do like Theresa though and would love to see more of Myra.

how is it unrealistic calvin is better looking than mal IMO

and she has been unfaithful in the past aswell so it wasnt going to be long before she done it again

I think Michaela and Zak are brill together
