Bad Reaction to Jedward Tonight

This is Jon's wife before you ask.

I went to see The Backstreet Boys tonight and as all you know Jedward were given tickets to see them. Well Simon obviously thought let's send the lot of them. However I think Jamie didn't go but everyone else was there.

On spotting them the arena screams their heads off but when Jedward appeared........it turned to booing!!! I am not joking, the whole arena booed them. Whether out of anger for Sunday or whether they just hated them in general, I don't know.

But it is a good thing, they turned up just as it started and left before the end because honestly with the crowd's reaction, Jedward would of been lucky to make it out alive.

(Btw, Danyl got a good reception.)

Edit: Typo

The Backstreet Boys are a poor man's Westlife...the people booing Jedward know nothing about real music...they'd have been cheered at a Rolling Stones gig...

That's crazy! The poor sods can't even enjoy a concert without getting booed!

That's ridiculous. The crowd should be ashamed of themselves.

it's all being blown way out of proportion - they're eighteen year-old boys for heaven's sake... it's shameful.

I don't know what's worse - a bunch of extremely sad twenty/thirty somethings feeling the need to boo a couple of teenage boys or the same twenty/thirty somethings watching the Backstreet Boys.

It's mob-mentality at close to it's worst - bet they feel so proud of themselves racing to keep up with the tumbrils

Outrageous,but fairly predictable.

The ironic thing is that Jedward are huge Backstreet Boys fans so the arena was booing their fellow fans

You could see it coming though.....the atmosphere around the boys has been getting uglier and uglier in recent weeks.

I find it hard not to be tearful at that.

I am glad that they have each other. Their poor parents as well

Funny. My sister and her friends were there and tell a completely different story. They say Jedward got an OK reception and Joe and Stacey got the best.

Oh, really? Maybe it just depended which bit of the arena you were in?

It may depend on where you're sitting in the arena ; you may not be able to hear booing if you're on the opposite side to where it is coming from.

I was at the Backstreet Boys gig too! I saw John & Edward I was like YEY Think I saw Ollie too! Were ALL the 12 finalists there? Or just the ones still left in the competition?

When people saw Jedward, pretty much 3/4th of the arena boo'ed. BUT some people (including me) cheered for them and told the boo'ers off! lol

I didn't notice Jedward until the booing started and we were sitting close by!

They all looked like they were having a good time. There was afilm crew there so I am sure it will be shown on X Factor this weekend in the VT's.

But I will say Olly and Stacey looked rather close!

I saw Joe, Stacey, Olly, Jedward, Danyl and Lloyd. But no Jamies to be seen and he isn't exactly hard to miss! LOL!

ohhh how mean its cruel to boo them
they remain in the show because the voting public cast more votes for them (and simon sent it to deadlock) not a fan myself but its unfair to boo them

The booing is over the top and to be hnoest i'm surprised it's allowed on the show, when I went to the xfactor auditons I was told we couldn't boo the singers, just the judges
